The harness that I finally got for my motor was all hacked up and looks like crap. The company that I bought my motor set from is a little on the shady side. At first I just got a bare motor and transmission, no computer, no harness, locked up alternator. I complained of course and I got kinda got what I needed.

He sent:a hacked up harnessa "remanufactured" ecuOne blown transmission and then another one with a cracked bell housing (luckily i had a spare KA transmission that i could rig together using the good Sr bell housing)alternatorsome other useless odds and ends

So yeah I'm pretty pissed , but I got the motor in the car and everything wired up and it will not start. The computer and ignitor are good (tested them on a friends car) and I did the wiring the way the Wiring Specialties DVD says to so I know that that is good. The problem must be somewhere in the harness itself and since just about every wire has been probed with a multimeter and since it looks so bad I just want to buy a brand new one. But all of the ones that i have found have been in the $450-475 range. Pretty outrages if you ask me.

I was just wondering if anyone knows where I could pick one up at a reasonable price- like under $400?

Thanks.

P.S. Avoid Ebay at all costs since it is becoming a haven for crooks... especially a guy with the user name "jdmplanet" (basically a front man for Osaka Motors)horrible, horrible, horrible service and everthing in general.

did you search. All you have to do is type in "s14 sr20det harness" in google and it comes up with a bunch of results. And you will never find a brand new harness "cheap".

what are your guys thoughts on the "painless" type kind of wiring harness? Looks alot cleaner...can I still use my stock switches and what not? Im aware that is pretty hard to do and time consuming, but is it doable with the stock switches?

I got my motor from osaka and it came with a cut harness. I called them and after a few calls of me bothering them they finally told me to call some dealership in Cali. When I called the dealership (don't remember their name right now), they said it happens all of the time with osaka. Anyways, I got a brand new harness from them.

I'll see if I can find the invoice from the dealer and i'll let you know.
