**** man you cant really rebuild a t28..well it can be done but u might as well buy a new 1 b/c its wayy more expensive than its worth. You can try http://www.cheapturbo.com its not cheaply made turbos just cheaper price( 795 for a new GT28R ), or take a chance w/ ebay. If you go ebay make sure the guy has a high positive feed back and make sure he is answering the email listed on his ebay account.

BTW Welcome to NICO!

Morph is correct. You can rebuild a ball bearing turbo, but not in a standard journal bearing t3/t25 kind of way. In order to rebuild the ball bearing, you have to replace the whole center cartridge due to the bearings being pressed in. The center cartridge is essentially everything inside the turbo, except for the housings. The cartridge will cost you almost as much as a new turbo.

You can rebuild a ball bearing turbo, well basically you will be replacing the entire cartridge. According to another board Garrett says they aren't but Turbonetics will and they will sell you parts to rebuild them. It also goes on to say AGP will rebuild them but $200 more get you a new turbo. Also on the S15 turbo its cheap enough that rebuilding one would most likely cost the same as rebuilding it.
