I love crusin around the "twisties" on the island. I know of a few...

snake hill road :take it all the way down till you either have to left or right, make a left and take it all the way down and end up driving with water on both sides! a lot of fun and a lot of great turns.

Sweet Hollow Road : Supposedly it is supposed to be scary, but it has some great turns man and it is such a tight road, a lot of fun.

those are the only ones i know, if you guys know any let me others let me know, i would like to go make some runs

ok ill do my best to explain,

for snake hill road, lets say you are starting on Long Island Expressway heading East. You will get off at exit 49N which is Pinelawn Road. Take that to the first stop light which is the intersection of Pinelawn Road and 110, you will make a right at the light, take 110 down to the next major intersection, you will pass many stores and the Walt Whitman Mall which you can not miss*. When you start to come up to Walt Whitman Mall, the next major intersection immediately after that is 110 and Jericho, Rt. 25. When you come to this intersection, you will make a left, heading West. You will take it down to Oakwood Road. It is near a car dealership and a Gas Station. You will make the right onto Oakwood Road, take it down over the train tracks, and next the first intersection, but the second one. It is called W. Pulaski Road. Make a left onto W. Pulaski Road and take it down to Harbor Road. Make a right onto Harbor Road, you will see a parking lot directly across from it. For example, when you pull up to Harbor Road, you will Harbor Road on your left, directly left of Harbor Road is a parking lot. Make the right onto Harbor Road and take it all the way down till it ends. You will have to make a left onto this road which is Lawrence Hill Road. Once you make the left onto Lawrence Hill Road you immediately make the first right onto Harbor Road. Once you make the right on Harbor Road take it down to Shore Road, it is the first street with a stop light once you enter the town. Make a left onto Shore Road and take this down to Snake Hill Road, it will be located on your right hand side as you travel down Shore Road. Once you get onto Snake Hill Road you will take it to Jennings Road, there will be a fork in the road, a road that goes left, a road that goes straight, and a road that goes right, the road that goes to the right is Jennings Road. Take Jennings Road down, it will change into Huntington Road. Huntington Road will end, and you will make a left onto West Neck Road. Take West Neck Road all the way down and you will be happy with the rest of hte drive. It will eventually turn into a U-turn spot or if you don't make a U-Turn it will turn into a upper class community, not much fun for driving.

for Sweet Hollow Road and Mt. Missery Road, i will post up a write up just like this one, if you guys like it

for Sweet Hollow Road and Mt. Misery road,

Take L.I.E. to exit 49N, take Pinelawn straight, cross over 110 and it will turn into Sweet Hollow Road. Take this all the way to Jericho Turnpike, Rt. 25, make a left and then the next left onto Hartmann Hill Road. Hartmann Hill Road will turn into Mt. Misery Road. Take this all the way to Sweet Hollow Road, and make a right onto Sweet Hollow Road and it will lead you back to L.I.E.

if you want a fun trip, just go during the day, if you want to make it "scary" go at night and read up on the stories behind these roads to make the mood really spooky!

, Hahhaahaha your joking right?????? lol these directions are insane how about a address so I can gps it. I really think your joking about the directions......

exit 49? not bad my hospital is at 38 I guess it isn't TOOOOOO far out of my range. dammit, I would ask you to ride tomorrow evening, but I have to replace my tire rod , ball joint, and alignment before any serious curves. my left turns are devastating. front wheels loose traction = serious bump steer then followed right by some seirous understeer= f***in scary when your doing it even at 40mph turns. Then again, I'm glad Im taking my time to learn this car. If I didn't I would be in a serious wreck right now. My first rwd car, and I love it.

oh bttww, thank you for taking your time to write this out. I will definately hit it by this week or weekend.

There are places out in Riverhead if you want to test your car's top speed. There's a good stretch of straight highway in the back roads. I'll get more info from my friend if your interested.

oh yea, river head... I was by there on black friday to tangermall.

I appreciate the input, but my ka does 110 , thats what it says on the tach, dont really feel like pushing it that hard, and plus for some reason I don't get the kick out of it when speeding. I drive 60 on highway all the time even on a stretch.

I'm really into drifting, thats the primary reason why I got this car, to learn about drifting.

I wish I could find some people who drift seriously here in nyc.
