Where are the factory amps located?

I have a 94 j30 infiniti. I brought a new radio and tried to install it. I hooked all the wires up correctly, but no sound!! Someone told me I need to bypass the factory amps. Could someone please tell me exactly what that means and where are they located. I desperately wants SOUND!! PLEASE HELP ME!!

You need to use a scosch adapter to turn down the signal to each speakerif your using the OEM speakers.Also the extra antenna wire you prolly have is what actually powers the amps that are in each speaker.I did the same thing T'd in the extra wire to the auto antenna wire and SOUND !!!
