Well i have an 08. but i have noticed some differences. The tires are alittle wider i think they're 245's as opposed to 215's. and the wheels themselves are bigger. I haven't noticed anything else but i'll post back if i see anything.

Biggest noticeable change is on the 3.5 SE - the 17" wheels are now 18x 8" and the tires have gone to 235/45x18. There may be a few other tiny differences but nothing of major note and I haven't seen any problem with 08 parts fitting an 09.

There's enormous differences! you can't ignore the major improvement with speed sensitive windsheild wipers and the door auto lock feature

That one is part of an optional extra that I wasn't prepared to go for... $4000 for the leather package...

09's have bigger wheels/tires, speed sensitive wipers, auto door locks after 15 mph, gloss black grill instead of matte black, supposedly smoother shifting for the losers that drive manuals (j/k)... as far as I know, those are the major differences... biggest disappointment? Lack of factory projectors... two of the Altima's majo competitors have projectors in the premium package vehicles....2009 Camry, 2009 Accord

HIDs ARE available on the 3.5 SE, IF you are prepared to go for the Leather package.... or whatever Nissan calls it in the US. Shame... I love the older years when options were available separately... I HATE 'packages'... Yeah, showing my age....

I thought all 3.5's came with HIDs.

I drove the Accord 09 at night, the projectors suck. I had to keep hitting the high beems just to clearly see the road ahead (mountain roads)...the lights have crappy visiblity...my AC is MUCH better with the HIDs

"premium" package, and you're right, only the ones with leather/premium get HIDs.

Fully loaded '09 w/CVT here. Not happy with it so far.

What's this "speed sensitive wiper" feature that others have mentioned? I'm not noticing the wipers go any faster when I set it to INT and cruise down the highway at higher speeds.

i feel you but i think projectors are a tad bit over rated. JUST a thought its like its cool on a bmw cuz thats their thing you know... like you can always see a beemer from a mile away from their headlamps and the DO look good. i dont know i like cars to be unique. it seem like Japanese cars have been biting of German styling too much(ie lexus and merc).... am i trippin'? maybe a little but i think i still have a point.

I think there's been some confusion here. It is 'speed sensitive volume' on the premium package stereo, not the wipers.

HIDs and projectors are not one in the same. I have HIDs on my cars but they are not projectors. HIDs are available on the AC - but projectors are not offered.

I thought I was the only one that caught that... HID's do NOT equal projectors... projectoprs can have halogens or have HID's...

you must have driven the Accord with projectors and NON HID... I've seen the cutoffs and light patterns on the 09 Accords with HID lights in the projectors and not only are they 10 x better than the halogens in the projectors, but the visibility is better that our non projector HID's... for the record, not BMW, BENZ, or LEXUS, but HONDA makes the best projectors on the market... PERIOD.... the S2000 projectors are better than any other set of projectors out there... even the TSX projectors!

that's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard... I think you're talking about halos, that's the only thing "BMW" specific... that has NOTHING to do with projectors! The Maxima's have projectors standard, available with HID's in premium package... tons of cars have projectpr headlights... they provide BETTER vision, a clean cutoff, and yeah they look good. but there's nothing specific about BMW regarding projectors...

no, we're not the one's confused, both 07,08,and 09 Altimas came with speed sensitive volume for the stereo.. hence the purple/white speed sensor wire in the on the radio harness that plugs into the factory stereo in systems with BOSE... what WE are talking about is the 09 specific speed sentisitve intermittent wipers that are new, and weren't available on the 07's and 08's

My 08 has speed sensitive wipers. Put the wipers on intermittent and they will still adjust to the speed automatically. You can still adjust the level manually, but they will speed up no matter which int setting you have it on to correspond with any increase in speed of the car. I have a 3.5 w/prem package.

You're right... I AM confused! I take back my previous words!

But the wipers on my 09 seem to do nothing different at varying speeds. In the manual, it states that "for vehicles equipped with speed dependant wipers, the intermittent operation speed varies in accordance with the vehicle speed", and yes, after checking, the brochure does mention them as standard on all 09s.

Perhaps the difference is so subtle that I've never noticed it? Or perhaps mine just don't work!

09 here. 2.5S with everything except nav. I've noticed the speed sensitive volume is crap, but I thought that was because I had it on the low setting. I was going to crank it up tonight and see if it made a difference. No idea on the wipers, but its only been rainy once so far. Just got mine last week, I posted pictures in another thread somewhere around here. Just ordered my Xentech's and a wiring harness.

I have '08 A/C with premium package and it does have speed sensitive intermittent windshield wipers. You can try it out yourself. Put the wipers at slowest setting and have your car stay at idle, the wipers will run about once every 20 secs (I think, don't remember the exact count). But if you start driving, the wipers will start running faster, say if you're driving around 30-40 mph, they'll run about once every 7-8 secs.

about the speed vol. whats that suppose to do? i mean, yes i know what it does, and i believe i have it.. but it never seems to work. .lol ive noticed when ive stopped it just cuts to a lower vol. but i thought it was to go down, as i slow down *turning sharp curves.. cabin should get quiet. But it seems it only 'att' the vol. once im at a slow roll, stop, at a sign. Just wanted to clear it up, and make sure i knew what it did.

I just pulled out my 08 Altima Coupe brochure and it states on the specifications page under interior "Vehicle speed-sensitive variable intermittent flat blade windshield wipers" which are standard on the 2.5 and 3.5 whether you have any packages or not. Read your manual to see if the Canadian cars come with this. You guys had standard heated seats, which we only get in a package. Maybe you did not get this or maybe you never noticed it.
