Where are all the NX's?

Greetings to all. I'm new to NICO and just wanted to see how many NX owners are here. I have a '92 NX with a fully built JDM motor, N/A set up.

The NX2000 is one bad *** car!! My sis had a nice black till somebody rear ended it in CT.

We're around. Until recently, there were weekly SR20 meets in Baltimore where up to 6 NXes would show up:

My NX2000 w/ suspension mods and engine bolt-ons. I'm in D.C., too (though only for another month).

Nice Duplicolor graphite wheel paint on your wheels.

91 NX1600(GA16DE) Out of Alaska - 148k original miles

Came with rare 4 speed transmission - and clutch is out in first gear

Motor runs strong as hell

Rust free! Spent its life in Georgia since 98-99

I race mustangs in it and watch them hit governer all day long

Pops hit 145 down hill in it

I'm actually trying to sell my NX but can't post in the classifieds yet. Spread the word if you know anyone in the DMV thats looking for one.

92 NX 2000 213K. Havent really done any mods yet. We have the struts and springs and wheels but just no time to do them.

This thread drew me into this forum...

I've had my '92 NX since new. It now has just over 300,000kms on it (when I got it, it had 500kms on it!).

I replaced the engine 3 years ago with a motor that my mechanic imported direct from Japan - not sure if the spec is different over there, but it definitely is more powerful than ever the original engine was - at least it has a better seat of the pants feel.

I figured, no point in taking a pic of a completely stock engine bay and interior - you probably know what that looks like! The driver's seat is fraying, and rust is finally beginning to rear its ugly head just above where the side skirt attaches to the front fender on the passenger side.

The power difference depends on which Japanese engine your mechanic got, but they're all more powerful.

I just paid $960 to replace the starter (2nd replacement!), ignition switch (original was so worn I could start it with almost any key!), brakes all around, and basic maintenance, so mods aren't in the picture!

In the past whenever things break on "my baby" I've replaced them with better than new, so it has a larger diameter custom-made cat-back exhaust system (doesn't sound any louder than stock, except at WOT which was exactly the goal), new struts all around that are harder than stock, with bushings replaced as necessary and I've put a K&N filter in there sometime way back in the early 90's.

When I bought it new I complained about the crappy stereo, so they put one from a Maxima in there to seal the deal...which I finally improved last year by putting Visonik speakers to replace the crappy originals.

It's on its 3rd auto transmission ( - yeah I know - It listed at $21,000 as it's loaded with everything but AC & T Tops but I bought it for $14,000, so it was a deal I could not refuse!) When I bought it brand new it slipped something awful, and that one only lasted 100K...Nissan replaced it free under warranty, and at 200K it went again, but this time I spent the bucks (over $2K) and had a really good transmission guy redo it top to bottom, and he put in a stouter, lower 1st gear and upgraded it all around...the shifts are sooo much better now.

This car, after 17 years is like a part of me...I don't see how I will ever give it up.

Nissan's are very ADDICTING so it's hard to let it go. Plus your NX is a pure Classic Nissan so why not keep it. Just think a car with NO car payments

i agree

shes a work in progress this is an old pic. im the 5th owner and the last 2 messed it up pretty bad. im fixing to buy a gti-r motor and make it a track car for road racing.
