When will it end? Another problem, MAF related.

I switched my tuning over to the enthalpy ECU from SAFC II and just got the car started. Thanks to everybody that helped. Now however the car is running extremely rich. I traced the problem to the MAF.

When the key is in the ON position, prior to start-up the MAF voltage is indicating 5.11v (maxed out). This obviously continued during startup and made the car run rich. Using a multimeter I checked the voltage coming into and exiting the MAF. Voltage was normal coming in 12.8v but signal voltage to the ECU was 8.98v.

I decided to switch back to the stock ECU and check the voltages. In was once again 12.8v but out was .45v (exactly where it's supposed to be).

Does anybody have any idea why the Enthalpy ECU is causing a voltage spike. Could it be because of improper grounding?

thanks

Bad grounds wreak havoc with electricity...but your problem is definitly wierd my friend. I wish I could be of more assistance. Just so I can wrap my head around this, your saying your MAF is maxed out with the car not running but in acc mode with the ENT ecu installed, but reads normal when the stock ECU is installed? If this is correct then I'd place a call to ENT and figure out what the problem is.

Depending on what kind of MAF you have you could have the MAF wired wrong also, I know caused I had it wired wrong. Your ground from the connector to the Intake Manifold should have less than a 0.02 voltage drop. That would cause it too.

I've checked and rechecked the wiring. I know that isn't it, because when I run the stock ECU it gives me the correct MAF voltages.
