So on Tuesday I'm going over to get my tires put on my new wheels, get my fenders rolled, and put the new wheels on the car.

But it was suggested to me that I might do the UpRev tune while I'm there. But I'm not sure. It's definitely something I want to do, but I don't know if I should wait until after I've made some engine mods (I'm still running stock intake and exhaust :chuckle: ).

What do you guys think?

Not worth it on stock intake and exhaust. You'd be better off with the BullyDog tuner... even with aftermarket intake and exhaust.

Thanks!

They want to charge 300-400 for it, so I might just buy a K&N intake instead. See if I can't get it installed for next Saturday's show. :D

Yeah and then if u get more mods the tune becomes useless and you have to pay another 50 to get it retuned. By the time ur done modding and tuning you could have bought the 700 dollar package and tune/flash as many times as you want, plus read and erase CELs, data log, etc.

Coool :) I'd recommend it if you were going the Turbo route, it's not really worth it for N/A unless you have a lot of engine work done. You won't gain much on stock. Maybe 10-15 hp and thats being generous.

Thanks, guys!

So now that i've got the K&N intake, next on my list is a Stillen Cat-back, and then the Racingline Y-Pipe. Then maybe the tune, but I'm expecting to space those out to at most 2 mods/season.

Wouldnt bother with the tune at all.

BullyDog GT Tuner, unless that's what you meant.

I wasn't meaning BullyDog, but I think now maybe I will.

where are you going? I hope it isnt the place in norwich...SWIFT motorsports i think what its called. I had problems with them in the past and had friends get crap jobs on their wrx's and GTI's. XXX tuning in hartford is a good place for tuning.

Nah, if I were to tune, it'd be at RDZ in Danbury, on the other side of the state. They have my wheels, and I'm bringing the car over there to get them and to get my fenders rolled. Was thinking about the NISSTune/UpRev that they do.

Instead, I bought an intake; I'll probably have it on Thursday, so I don't know that I'll have it installed in time for the UConn show.
