When to change stock struts?

Our Versa only has 31,000 on it but I didn't see strut changes in the maintenance manual. I hope they last awhile.

Usual changing point is when the seals fail and they leak oil. They should last a good while.

That's good I know the Versa seems to have pretty good stock struts.

i put on kyb's all the way around when i did tanabes, just cuz. had about 55k, they seemed fine.

Besides the obvious leaking fluid, you can push down on the car to see if the shocks have gone bad. If it bounces before returning to position rather than firmly returning back to position, they have gone bad. The car will also feel really floaty like a Cadillac or something and bottom out more easily on big bumps.
