"Charlie and Spike are two kittens with myotonia congenita, otherwise known as 'fainting goat' syndrome. at the slightest sound, the kittens respond by collapsing and falling into a rigid paralysis which lasts about a minute before they return to normal. This condition has hardly ever before been diagnosed in a cat, is rarely found in dogs and is more common in goats. The kittens are able to walk, but they cannot run or jump. aside from this they are normal."

I mean, it was kind of hilarious when the dumb goats fell over... but kittens? It almost makes me cry...

I agree, it is funny to see goats do it but it is just sad watching kittens do it. I am glad my cat doesn't have this issue, my a$$hole friends would be making her do it constantly. She is already skittish enough because of them...

I thought it was funny until I heard that the dark one died because of his myotonia congenita. :frown:

RIP Little guy. Nothing will startle you again.

I thought it said something about the kitten dying from respiratory issues?

Replace the emotional piano accompaniment with Benny Hill music.

i want a cat like that! i like cats, and most other critters, but i do enjoy giving my girlfriends cats a bit of a spin on the linoleum.
