Wondering if anyone ever had such issue when you use the satellite radio, you lose your GPS signal? I use a GROOM iPod unit to stream my music to the factory stereo through SAT and for some reason when I set my radio to SAT, I instantly lose GPS signal to my navigation. (I use the GPS indicator on the NAVI screen, when its grayed out; you lost signal and when its green you got GPS signal.)
If I use any other stereo functions like CD, FM or AM GPS works fine, just SAT. Powering off the stereo also works fine for GPS.
Tried disconnecting the battery and left it overnight, no luck.
Anyone have suggestions? Ive contacted GROOM support but they're not replying.

There was much discussion regarding GROM units in older threads. If I remember correctly, the GROM unit was thought to be rubbish and most peeps switched to the USA spec INFI (not sure of the name). I think Ilya (another mod here) also had to purchase an I-pod to stream after getting rid of his GROM unit. If you check the FAQ sticky, you should find details on this unit, or simply type "GROM" in the search box.

Hope this thread helps.

The GROM unit is a %)$%(#$%)(#$%*)(#$()#$% POS. Worst waste of money ever. Do yourself a favor and throw it out.

If you have SAT radio, get the USA Spec. PA15-INFI. If you don't have SAT radio, but have a SAT capable radio, get the USA Spec. PA15-NIS. You'll pat yourself on the back later. I was anti-Apple (Android guy) for a long time, which is why I got the GROM (I could plug in a USB drive as you know). I decided it was so bad, that I went out and bought an iPod just to use in my car for music. That's how bad that POS is. The government should shut that company down...it's stealing peoples' money.

Caveat to my post: if you have a non-SAT capable radio, I'm not sure what your options are.
