I'm just curious if anyone knows exactly where the funds come from that support our President's trips? I'm sure its not cheap considering fuel, hotels, security, police escorts... After seeing Obama this past weekend in Boston campaigning for Martha Coakley's running for the vacant Ted Kennedy seat, I started to get pissed off. I consider myself somewhat in the middle/right and really find it hard to cope with "our" (Right and Left) money going towards keeping a democrat in the senate so he could pass Pelosi's death bill.. I would also like to know what happened to the $1.4mil that he got from winning the Nobel Peace Prize. I think legally he's not allowed to accept any money from foreign governments to begin with.

YOU pay for it. Right now YOU are paying for Martha Coakley's campaign by paying for the president to campaign for her using tax dollars.

The presidents travels are only a small part of his expenses. There is another thread in here about Michelle Obama's personal servants. It's pretty insane.

I can't think of another president who has given us enough excuse to dislike him.

That's beacause you're 19 years old. If you were 40 or 50 you would probably have disliked Carter in his day too and in 20 or 30 years you might find yourself saying , "I haven't disliked a president this much since Obama."

There will always be an us that dislikes the current adminstration even if you're not part of the dissatisfied us.

Considering what happened while he was in office, even Abraham Lincoln had a large # of people who fit the categoy of feeling he had done so much to "dissatisfy us."

Andrew Johnson, Herbert Hoover, Jimmy Carter as well as many others were unpopular. If you're looking from a conservative prospective, probably no one did more to actively dissatisfy the conservative "us" than Franklin Roosevelt.

Only history will really be the proper judge, but I believe we're finding out that our current President is an excellent campaigner and opportunist but a lousy leader.

Read a copy of The Peter Principle and I believe you will find that it applies to this administration. No matter how good you are, managers usually get promoted to their level of incompetence.
