when its cold outside ??

Just wondering about my car when it is freakin cold outside. when its cold my car gets grumpy, i go to pull out of my parking sopt at school in reverse(DUH) and when i go and put it into drive it wont shift the rpms will sky rocket but no first(Auto trans). any way ill put it in 2 and then drive a little way to the stop sign and stop then put it in D and ill drve away whistling. i just wanna know if im killing some part of my car or if its just because its cold.

When was the last time you changed the trans fluid and filter?

i changed mine a few months ago and mine still does it here and there when it's cold. i put it in D and it will rev a little before engaging, but then it's fine after that

my gf brother changed all the fluids when i got it around late june early july

Huh thats odd.. mine runs better when its cold outside... maybe thats cause it never really gets that cold here

Hey it was 30 here once... i think... maybe i just thought it was 30 lol but I'm from Germany so i kinda miss the cold weather lol

two possible things one the converter is going bad or two your solenoids are going in the transmission... i had the same issue with my maxima i had no first gear for months then i took all the connector going to the solenoids and clean them out with contact cleaner and i had my first gear back again....

well I would street race my neon for sometime and I started to have the same prob till my car wouldn't move. After looking at everything I found out what it was and that I didn't have much of a trans left lol. Only spent like another 2k on it lol but it runs very well.
