planning on getting qx56 sometime just wanting to know when the next generation qx56 will be coming out and what kind of changes can i expect...i really hope it comes out next year or something cuz ive got some big plans

I don't think anyone knows when, but I'd guess 2010 or 2011.

There has been talk about splitting the QX56 off from the Armada. Elsewhere in the world, Nissan has a very popular and competent offroader called the Patrol. Nissan has mentioned the possibility of enlarging the Patrol to suit the American market and turning the QX into a high-class version of it.

It surely won't be the '09 model year, most likely the new model will arrive in 2010 or 2011, being manufactured in Japan. Here is a thread I started a while ago.

My most recent sales guy informed me that they are moving the production line for the Armada and QX56 back to Japan in 2010. And, they are revamping the platform to be a bit smaller...more like the Mercedes GL450 or Lexus-sized SUV.

Not certain about the quality of the info, but it's what I was told when I asked about changes to the platform soon-to-come.
