If you're fuel pressure is out of spec:

~34psi with the vacuum line connected, ~43psi without...at idle.

do you need a different fpr with higher boost? or will stock be ok as long as it is in good shape?

Stock is fine..does well at 12-13psi on my KA-T, and I have seen setups do +400rwhp with OEM regulators.
