When going trendy goes wrong. [Food]

A guy I knew works at a local restaurant. It's one of those trendy high-end bistros that grows its own veggies.

This is their interpretation of tiramisu:



It looks like dirt, smeared feces, and partially eaten cake. I'm sure it tastes fine but the presentation screams "TRYING TOO HARD"

I normally like ugly food whether its a sloppy sandwich, a bowl of gumbo, or crawfish that look like roaches, but those are ugly in their naturally occurring and most flavorful states. This is a chef's failed attempt at being artful. He took a beautiful Italian dessert and deconstructed it into a plateful of garbage.

"Should I eat this, or just deposit it directly into the toilet?"

Probably not a good sign when your meal looks the same on a plate as when you poop it into a toilet. But the bigger question Is did you try it?

EDIT: I waited all day to see just how bad this could possibly be. Its pretty f*** bad.

Serioulsy wtf is that green s*** in the middle. Its butthole is looking right at me and s***. Not appetizing, especially not with that classic brown hot poop smear next to it.
