Ive been wondering this for quite awhile, And im sure it should be cleared up amongst others as well. When doing your alignment with coilovers and having camber plates (front of vehicle obviously) With the camber plate set to 0 what do you set the coilover to where it attaches to the spindle or knuckle. I usually set the camber plate to 0 set the bottom to 0 and then go back and adjust the camber plate to where id like my camber to be.

Now that ive lowered it a lot more im sure i wont be able to do this now so what is the best setup for proper movement of the coilover and knuckle? should i set it to around -1 or -2 camber at the stock adjustment location and then adjust the camber plate to where id like camber to be.. Im worried about how the angle of the strut is and how that affects travel whether it be straight up and down on the knuckle or at an angle on the knuckle... Does it matter? The pic kind of shows what i mean.

Im going to be setting the front camber to -3 degrees.

i just set them all out to clear my tires, so when I went to allignment shop I had extra positive camber, which was addressed with the camber plates.

ok, lol so basically im trying to figure out whats best for setting the strut to the knuckle, im wondering what the camber should be on it, for running around -3 camber.. since i liked having it set at 0 and then having the camber plate set to -1.5 when i ran a grip setup now im looking for -3 so maybe set the bottom to-1.5 and then the top another-1.5 until i reach the desired -3

just set the knuckle to coilover to the lowest camber.... that way when you use your camber plates, youll be able to go the a lot in the negative if you wish. plus with camber plates, youll be able to get close to 0 degrees even if you have it set negative at the knuckle. make sense?

the reason I said set the strut-to-nuckle most outwards because you know it will stay there and it's not used to set degree angle at the shop, on the rack. it's like a starting point that I know it wont slip....
