When does the license plate light go on???

Hey guys, qiuck question?

When does the license plate light go on? Auto/always one/when you press the brake?

I have a feeling i blew a fuse

When the headlights are on. And I think when the parking lights are on.

On my '01, it's on the same circuit as the tail lights. If the tail lights work andthe license plate light doesn't, you probably just have a burned out bulb(or bulbs - the schematic makes it look like there are two).

Licence plate light is on whenever your taillights are on. When the switch is in the 'on' position, or when the switch is in 'auto' and it's dark out.

If your license plate fuse was blown, you'd know it. Your taillights would be out, which means your dash would be completely dark, too.

Replacement bulbs are very inexpensive, just a few bucks.

the bulbs are only like 2-3 months old. I guess got to try another pair. Thanks guys
