what gaskets do i need to replace (if any) when i take the transmission off the engine? bell housing gasket? if so, what can i get them from, or will i have to order them? im assuming a bellhousing gasket would have to be rwd ca specific. thanks!

Shouldn't be any gaskets. Bell housing is metal to metal, same for starter. Would be a good time to change the clutch slave cylinder and the transmission rear seal .

Also, as long as you got it apart you may want to change the rear main seal. There is a gasket that goes with the rear main seal housing. Should be available in a kit from Felpro. You'll have to drop the oil pan to get the main seal housing off....another gasket set.

replace the rear seal in the back of the trans, thats where i think mine is leaking. its not fun to keep putting gear oil in.

Definitely replace your rear main seal, these are known for leaking when they get a bit old. They are cheap and they will save you a lots of work in the long run, It is located behind your flywheel.

I can get you the gasket for around 15-20 dollars shipped from Canada to your place, but you shouldn't have a problem to find it locally, they are the same as the 1987-1990 pulsar ca16de or ca18de.

Don't forget to machine your flywheel since you are change the clutch.

damn dude you're gonna start getting pictures from around the world with your clutch package in front of monuments like Big Ben and the Eifel Tower and of course the Tokyo Tower (where it will promptly be sucked into that weeks interdimensional portal and never be seen in this dimension again) just like that lawn gnome

not w/o modification. SPEC makes ones that fit. 4 different stages. I love mine. decent price too.

KA one works fine... just pull one of the alignment pins out of the flywheel, or cut it off. I just used vice grips and removed mine. It still has 2 pins aligning it, so its all good IMO:)

I suppose you could re-drill it... everyone I talked to here in Orlando said just use 2 of the 3 alignment pins, and pull the one that doesn't fit:) Seems to work fine for me

If you want to use a KA, just pull the pin. The only reason it's there if for alignment. Once you have it bolted up to the flywheel they don't do anything anymore.
