And I'm back again... I missed my normal question session yesterday... but I have afew to ask today.

1. Check out these brake pads. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...03218Are these a the right kind for my Q? I don't think I need 'em, but would be good to have them on hand. But i would only buy them if they meet everyones quality standards.

2. An opinion question for all who read... Going on the wheels that http://www.tirerack.com has, which ones do you think would like nice on a whitish(don't know the exact color name yet,, can anyone help me there?) 94Q? I'm looking for 16's or 17's and not wanting to spend more than $200 per.

3. Assuming for the above rims, are Yokohama tires recommended? I'll being going to college at Texas A&M so snow won't be that big of a problem, I hope. I was thinking maybe the AVS db S2 or Avid V4, but I'm at a loss when looking at tires. Theres just so much to consider I don't know waht to think or do. Actually... I'kll take recomendations on any tire below $115 or close to that.

4.Q45Tech - If you read this... DO you know if any of the junkers T3 picked up are 94Q's that have fog lights intact?

Um... thats it for now. I'll post pictures that my uncle took sometime tonight if I find a place to host them, and then I'll take and post some pics of my own on monday. thanks for the help once again.

- Robert

7. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...93485what about those rims... assuming i had the money right now.... would those be a good buy?(i wont have it for a few weeks... so hopefully i pointed out a great deal for a NICO member)

7. What years were the BOSE speaker recall for? Cause I finally got my vehicle history from Infiniti, and it said nothing about the speakers being replaced

The wholesale cost [dealer cost] on the oem wheels was $380 each.

Think very carefully about putting inexpensive porous low quality cast wheels on any car that weighs 4300 pounds and has significant camber........they just don't last like a $400 wheel.

I can assure you that 95% of our Q customers who went to 16-18" low quality [not necessarily low RETAIL price] wheels have cars I wouldn't ride in for 60 miles if they gave me their car free!

But then again many don't know how a fine riding car feels.

Rob - Keep an eye out for some take-offs from a 97-01 Q (they came with 16 and 17' rims) OR a set from any of the 02-03 Infiniti lineup.

Cheaper, stronger, and the right offset.

Best deal going that I've seen on 16" tires. Last time I checked they were $151 each! Great load rating and overall diamater isn't that far off from stock.

Doing a quick search for wheels, I found these but there are some reports of quality issues, and trouble finding a way to balance this style properly.

Hmm... since none of those replies really gave me any answers...

since the above mentioned rims are factory wheels from an I30, they should in theory be good for my Q? Or am I mistaken? Cause if so... I'm not gonna wait and I'm gonna get some financial sources to borrow me money to buy them.

Very very rare to see oem wheels fail so at worst they will bend and that may take years of continued stress.

I think the 2 biggest things you need to keep in mind (from the posts I've read) are how much weight are the rims designed to support & how much the rims weigh themselves.

I realize that does no more to answer your questions than any of the other post, just sharing what I've seen as people have discussed rims/tires on here over the last couple of months.

Good luck.

If you like the I30 rims and feel they will improve the looks of your car, get them.Yes they may be from alighter Infiniti but as such they are still factory wheels and much better than aftermarket.

they get a thumbs up from me.
