:spitout: Thankfully, those sizes don't exist. You don't want 16's. Tire selection is terrible. Pick some 17's in the same width and close enough offset.

well i think you just made your decision.... though if you cant afford work wheels, you can look into Rota wheels which are about in the middle of them both??

On second thought, click my sig and look for the Miro STP wheels. They're 16x9+15 for 4 lug. That's about as close as you're gonna get to the sizes you listed without going with a totally custom wheel.

Edit: Ahhh nevermind. Hear ya go. Try this.

those wheels are going to look horrible in 16's. If they were 18's that would be sexy, 17s would be iffy, but 16s? no

OP spend some time looking at wheel fitment threads, and rimtuck

16's are painfully lame.

i dont think my 16's look "painfully lame" but i would suggest a 17" wheel, that what im gonna go with next. 16's go good with a stock body, but terrible with a excentric kitted s13....imo

16s look just fine on a stock bodied 240. They just aren't very fashionable right now. Simmode1 was very right about tire selection. Especially for that wide a wheel. That alone would make me go for 17" wheels. There are a variety of sites that sell used brand name wheels at a pretty big discount over new. vrwheels.com and memoryfab.com come to mind, although I couldn't tell you anything about their customer service.

It's not really about preference for me. I have 16x8.5 wheels. The fact is buying tires for 16's SUCKS, Period. You either have a hard time finding what you want or you end up paying even more than you would for 17" tires. Plus you still got this tall azz sidewall.

OP, trust me. Go talk to the 300ZX guys. Their stock wheels are 16x8.5 and they run 245/45's. They'll tell you that pickings are becoming slim. As car manufacturers continue making cars with bigger and biger factory wheels, tire manufacturers follow suit and start to eventually discontinue their smaller tires. I really feel sorry for the Miata and MR2 guys... :frown:

Not to mention that 17's barely fill up an S-chassis wheel well, let alone some little 16's...

well the reason i wanted to get 16" because i was looking on rimtuck.com i found the rocket bunny s13 and that was the size rim it took and i thought it looked bad a**. But if 18" would look better i might have to go with that. I heard picking the right kind of wheel and size and offset to fit your look is almost and art. So does any one no what the wheel specs are on these wheels and tires.> http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt ... 29,r:2,s:0

:werd: But I prefer staggered 17's & 18's together. But I'll probably just upgrade to equal size 17's all around to save on tires... :yesnod

Are these the 4 lug or 5 lug Axis Widetracks that your friend has? Cuz I've been looking for the 4 lug versions and they seem hard as hell to find in the U.S. So far, I've only been able to find them on Aussie cars... :gotme

OP, my apologies for this threadjack, but I couldn't help but notice the similarities of above car to the '82 Dodge Rampage I used to own (albeit mine was the 2.2). Cool for hauln' band equipment around back in the day!

These 240s are different, but I like them both with 16s. Like Simmode already said, 16" wheels do not have a very good tire selection. If cost is the only reason to get them, you'll paying the same price for tires as you would for tires for 17" wheels. It's really all about preference; I like 17s best.
