I hope you guys don't mind me posting this here. I am no longer posting in other parts of Nico, every time I do, I gent bent over and abused, don't need it.

I am thinking about these wheelshttp://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/290384

Do we have the 60 bore he is talking about? Also looking for honest opinions about these. Opinions except they are 15s, I want to stay with 15s to keep tire cost down.

It does appear there are more "adult" answers on this forum as compared to others. I'm not sure there are more old folks here but everyone seems to at least act like one.

No clue on the wheels but they do look good. I'm looking for the perfect rim myself. Good luck.

I am not really looking for the "perfect" rim. More a replacement rim, the stockers I have have a discoloration, almost a oxidation on 2 of them between the spokes. Not real good looking at all. Plus I have a vibration that I am sure is either a broken belt in tire or bent rim, so I am basicly just looking to replace the stockers as cheap as possible. Car will be turned over to son in the summer, and I am sure he will want to make it his own with his own special touches.

I don't know man, I would say your cheapest way to find a replacement is find OEM wheels. You know how they'll fit and look, and can usually be had pretty dern cheap.

This is the route I would recommend for someone looking for replacements and not upgrades. Though those wheels aren't bad looking, I think unless you are trying to go with a modified or upgraded look, keep it OEM.

I have had my eyes open for OEMs, but none available in my area. Most I see for sale go for around $200.00 and I can get those for $250. I would prefer a nice set of OEMs if I could get them at a realistic price close by.

If you want to stay with 15s and your son is probably going to change them out, just paint the stockers and stick some different tires on there. You can probably find an OEM SE wheel in a junkyard if you need one. I see them all of the time around here.

There is some creative stuff you can do to get larger tires for cheap, such as buying them from craigslist or junkyards. My tires had 1000 miles on them and were 70% cheaper than tirerack.

LOL, we think alike! I was very interested in thesehttp://pittsburgh.craigslist.o....htmlBut when the guy emailed me better pics, the curb rash was AMAZING, worst I have ever seen! He painted them with a spray can, and they look it, and all tires are mismatch brands! I told him thanks but I would keep looking!

I do look at Craigslist pretty much every day, I just thought those wheels looked pretty good for the price.

What do you think I coud get a set of OEMs for?

OEMs typically go for $80-$100 in good condition with no tires to mediocre tires. $160 - $200 in like new condition w/ new tires.

You can always go with a set of Infiniti G20 wheels...http://www.finishlinewheels.co...51U10/

I posted that link so you can see what they look like, not for the pricing. I'm pretty sure at $161 each, you're more than likely to stay away.

You probably won't be finding a lot of G20s in junkyards but it never hurts to look. Also, you can always post a WTB on Craigslist or wherever. Something will come up eventually.

Those wheels would look great on that vert of yours. If powdercoated in black, it'll look amazing. 15's, 4-lug, you can't go wrong really.

As for the wheels you posted about, I honestly don't really like them. Just don't really care for chrome wheels.

I like those, but more $ then I want to spend! Is 4 x 4.5 the same as 4 X 114.3? (that is what we have right? 4x114.3?)

We might be able to work something out if the price is right, I could use the best one of what I have with them. Are the 3 in real good shape?

Yeah, that's what I figured. I might just end up saving them for when I want to be very angry at my tires. Maybe I'll mount the scuffed one as a trophy, like "I Survived Near Vehicular Manslaughter!" or something.

If you have a garage, you should mount that sucker on the wall like a picture!

Feh. I wish. I don't even have a paved driveway. And my neighbors have the sheer cajones to complain to the rent-a-cops in our community that they want my car removed! What the hell else am I going to do? Send it back to the auto-wreckers where I will be forced to pay 35 bucks a day for the next six months?! I'm going to bed.

Hey Bill, What happened to the idea of those sportmax wheels you were looking at? Those were really sharp!

Yeah, that's what I did, but they're still complaining. They "don't want their neighborhood to turn into a junkyard."

I decided that it would be better to go used aftermarket or OEM, seeing as the boy will take over the car next August. I want him to be able personalize it his own way without wasting a lot of money changing stuff I had done to it.

Well, its kind of a personal thing so far as how I am raising him. I bought this car to drive and make sure it is mechanicly sound with the intentions of selling it to him, and being the bank for him. He is the youngest of 4 kids, and all the older kids had to buy their own cars. Daddy does not buy cars for you in this house. I figure if you are old enough to have your own car, you should be responsible enough to get a job and pay for it. Just from grass cutting around the neighborhood, extra odd jobs around the house(over and above his regular chores) and saving birthday/Xmas money etc., he has almost $1,000.00 saved now. That money he will be allowed to use on mods and insurance. I will finance the cost of the car, charge him half price, and accept monthly payments for it.

I don't want to do too much on the car so far as modding it, it would take away from his experiance once it becomes his.
