Nah, in a class forum such a sthe vert part of Nico, you get respect regardless of the trivial stuff such as a avitar. Beside, my avitar is "KOOL"!!!!! LOLLoki wrote:Change that avatar and you'll get more respect
LOL, thanks for your opinion, but as I said, I am staying with 15".Topless_92 wrote:I say go at least 16s
I have had my eyes open for OEMs, but none available in my area. Most I see for sale go for around $200.00 and I can get those for $250. I would prefer a nice set of OEMs if I could get them at a realistic price close by.TIMELSS_vert wrote:I don't know man, I would say your cheapest way to find a replacement is find OEM wheels. You know how they'll fit and look, and can usually be had pretty dern cheap.
This is the route I would recommend for someone looking for replacements and not upgrades. Though those wheels aren't bad looking, I think unless you are trying to go with a modified or upgraded look, keep it OEM.
LOL, we think alike! I was very interested in thesehttp://pittsburgh.craigslist.o....htmlBut when the guy emailed me better pics, the curb rash was AMAZING, worst I have ever seen! He painted them with a spray can, and they look it, and all tires are mismatch brands! I told him thanks but I would keep looking!ishkabibble wrote:If you want to stay with 15s and your son is probably going to change them out, just paint the stockers and stick some different tires on there. You can probably find an OEM SE wheel in a junkyard if you need one. I see them all of the time around here.
There is some creative stuff you can do to get larger tires for cheap, such as buying them from craigslist or junkyards. My tires had 1000 miles on them and were 70% cheaper than tirerack.
I would be all over those prices!ishkabibble wrote:OEMs typically go for $80-$100 in good condition with no tires to mediocre tires. $160 - $200 in like new condition w/ new tires.
Naaah, it makes me want to avoid reading your postsBiXLL wrote:Nah, in a class forum such a sthe vert part of Nico, you get respect regardless of the trivial stuff such as a avitar. Beside, my avitar is "KOOL"!!!!! LOL
Wow, really? What about 3 good condition wheels with good tires and one really scuffed wheel? :oishkabibble wrote:OEMs typically go for $80-$100 in good condition with no tires to mediocre tires. $160 - $200 in like new condition w/ new tires.
OK man, I will change it just for you! Just remember, you asked for it!!! LOLLoki wrote:Naaah, it makes me want to avoid reading your posts
Alright, that's good. It's not as obscenely harsh on the eyes.BiXLL wrote:OK man, I will change it just for you! Just remember, you asked for it!!! LOL
We might be able to work something out if the price is right, I could use the best one of what I have with them. Are the 3 in real good shape?Loki wrote:Naaah, it makes me want to avoid reading your posts

Eh, not REAL good. Lemme see if I can dredge up a pic...BiXLL wrote:We might be able to work something out if the price is right, I could use the best one of what I have with them. Are the 3 in real good shape?
Yeah, that's what I figured. I might just end up saving them for when I want to be very angry at my tires. Maybe I'll mount the scuffed one as a trophy, like "I Survived Near Vehicular Manslaughter!" or something.BiXLL wrote:If I am going to buy OEM, I want them in a little better shape then that. Thanks though!
If you have a garage, you should mount that sucker on the wall like a picture!Loki wrote:Yeah, that's what I figured. I might just end up saving them for when I want to be very angry at my tires. Feh. I wish. I don't even have a paved driveway. And my neighbors have the sheer cajones to complain to the rent-a-cops in our community that they want my car removed! What the hell else am I going to do? Send it back to the auto-wreckers where I will be forced to pay 35 bucks a day for the next six months?! I'm going to bed.BiXLL wrote:If you have a garage, you should mount that sucker on the wall like a picture!
Yeah, that's what I did, but they're still complaining. They "don't want their neighborhood to turn into a junkyard."ishkabibble wrote:Buy a cheap cover for it, Loki.
I decided that it would be better to go used aftermarket or OEM, seeing as the boy will take over the car next August. I want him to be able personalize it his own way without wasting a lot of money changing stuff I had done to it.Eikon wrote:Hey Bill, What happened to the idea of those sportmax wheels you were looking at? Those were really sharp!
Well, its kind of a personal thing so far as how I am raising him. I bought this car to drive and make sure it is mechanicly sound with the intentions of selling it to him, and being the bank for him. He is the youngest of 4 kids, and all the older kids had to buy their own cars. Daddy does not buy cars for you in this house. I figure if you are old enough to have your own car, you should be responsible enough to get a job and pay for it. Just from grass cutting around the neighborhood, extra odd jobs around the house(over and above his regular chores) and saving birthday/Xmas money etc., he has almost $1,000.00 saved now. That money he will be allowed to use on mods and insurance. I will finance the cost of the car, charge him half price, and accept monthly payments for it.DeXteR wrote:why not just let him pick some out and split the cost?
