All right, I'll help you out here. No, I havent heard of either brand, but that means nothing.
The basic real measurements of 'good wheels' (like you asked in the other thread) are strength, weight, and most importantly sizing.
Strength should never be an issue, because every manufacturer has a moral obligation to make wheels that dont fail under normal operating conditions. But, it is. Cheap wheels (Exel, search for it) can be horrbily made and shatter under extreme conditions. Potholes, collisions, and extreme stress can break down a cheap wheel faster than Flava Flave at a whore-house.
Weight is extremely important. Not only are wheels unsprung weight (search for it), they are an effect of cintrifigul force which can muplitply the effects of increasing the weight of a wheel. Simply put, the lighter the wheel, the more effective upgrading is (in terms of performance).
The third is by far the area that should make or break your mentioned wheel choices. What sizes are they available in? If 17x7 +40 is one of your options, immediately click the X on your browser and start looking elsewhere.
Let me know if you need any other questions answered.
