Why do people do "All fronts" when they get wheels for this car? Am I missing something or is there a problem with offsets?

im guessing since some wheels have more of a lip on the rear wheel for rwd cars and since the a/c is fwd you would want to keep the off-sets the same.

There is no reason to stagger a FWD car - if you put wider wheels in the back you have essentially done nothing. I mean, you could put wider wheels in the front to increase your traction, but it would look silly. Most people just opt to put the same thing all around as that's the most inexpensive option, and most practical.

No point in adding extra weight by putting on a bigger wheel in the back for a front wheel drive car

I think the main reason why folks put staggered wheels on front wheel drive car is for cosmetics. This is especially true for the folks that put the wider wheels on the rear (non drive) wheels. I gives more of a perfomance look. Most exotic and perfomance cars have RWD and staggered wheels some even have different diameter wheels in the front vs. back.

It's just like installing a rear deck spoiler on a FWD car. The functional purpose of the spoiler is to increase downforce on the drive wheels. So a properly designed spoiler for a FWD car would go on the front - BUT it would not look good. So folks install rear spoilers - functional improvement no - cosmetics yes. BTW - given the trypical speeds that most people drive a rear spolier on a RWD car may not yield much improvement either - but they sure look good

Folks that use all fronts (I'm assuming you are referring to installing Z and G factory staggered ) wheels on the AC - like the style of the wheel but do not want the staggered look - and want to maintain the ability to rotate the wheels. To stagger a FWD car properly - you would put the wider wheels on the front - which may not be as nice cosmetically. An axample of this would be a civic drag car. The big racing slicks are mounted up front - with smaller skinner wheels onthe rear.

Yes I understand staggered fitments, I also have a Mustang with a staggered fitment. What I meant by my question was why all fronts and not all backs? For example wouldnt you want the fattest tires all around instead of skinnies? I can understand the weight difference but that wouldnt be too much. Thanks.

The rears may be too wide. Remember in general you cannot fit as wide a tire on the front as you can the rear because the fronts need room to turn. This is also why most front fenders have a larger or higher arch than the rears.
