long story short, my rims are tucked in a little more due to offset changes...i would like 5 or 10 mm spacers for looks (since there are no performance problems)

where can i get them and how much do they cost? and is there a cheap way to do it?

10mm spacers are too big to be used as a slipon spacer. Hell 5mm is really cutting it close. Don't do it cheap, it is dangerous, just get new rims that are the correct offset.

that is much cheaper than being dead after a wheel falls off.

"(since there are no performance problems)"

hahahahah.a wait...HAHAHAHAHAHHA. oh..whoa..you were serious. do what Keyy said. spacers are a band-aid for incorrectly done wheel selection(no offense). My suggestion, if you dont have problems, dont get spacers. ITs poinltess and a waste of money. BEST case scenario, you just push the wheels out 5mm(you wont even notice, I'd bet) and spend 120 dollars. worst case, you screw up your lugs, hub, wheel and rotor, and possibly damage a wheel...

i just dont like how they looks a little tucked in but w/e, i cant afford new rims right now so i guess i'll keep em till i can afford new ones

yes you cannot even tell the difference front to back with my rims that have a 5mm spacer on front and no spacer on back. I REALLY don't like the fact that I don't get many turns on the lughs before they set, freaks me out...

If you do use spacers, get some longer lug bolts from Courtesy Nissan. http://www.courtesyparts.com Good Luck

If you have longer wheel studs in in order to seat the lugs properly, what is the diffrence? I don't understand how having a spacer in can cause dammage or cause the wheel to fall off!?

messes with the offset of the wheel, and the stress on the hub of the rotor, and VIA extended leverage puts both additional weight, and more weight farther out, from the wheels anchor points(the lugs and hub) possibly causing many other problems.-chet

I've run 5 mm spacers on the front of mine to clear Z32 brakes with no problems. Even with track events and my insanely hard driving. As long as you have enough threads on the studs to engage the lugnut properly(usually you want to be able to thread a lugnut on as far in as the width of the stud), you'll be fine. 10 mm is probably a bad idea since you will no longer be able to mount your wheel hubcentrically without a custom(expensive) spacer. 15mm+ spacers I've seen have a hubcentric ring, but I'd be more picky with spacers this big since they tend to bolt on to the hub and use it's own studs for the wheels. I've heard of some very poorly made ones breaking. But in all honesty, you won't really make much of a dent with a 5 or 10 mm spacer. Think about it. That's really only half a centimeter and 1 centimeter respectively. I only used them to clear brakes.

If you need a set, Find an H&R springs dealer. H&R makes some.

PDM racing has inexpensive 1/4" / 6mm spacers.

H&R are questionably expensive..

I have 5 mm spacers to clear my z brakes also. I can get about 6-7 turns and then it's tight- is this something I should worry about?

Why are wheel spacers so important, just get some new rims and sell the old ones.

I also have some questions about spacers. I am swapping to 5 lug and got some rims pretty cheap to put on for a while. 16x6.5 40 offset (skyline gts rims) The problem I am going to have is I installed the JIC FLT-A2's and the stock 15's dont clear them by much in the front. Does anyone know what size spacer I will need for now or what offset will be needed when I go with a 16x7 or 8 inch rim in the front.

Yes, but the H&R are made for the 240sx and hubcentric.

Are hubcentric spacers safer than the cheapies since instead of placing all the weight on the wheel studs they put some of it back on the hubs?

You must use hubcentric spacers to center the wheel, otherwise the balance will suffer.
