I'd personally like to see +27 fornt and +32 rear, but I guess thats not offered, to keep both lips of the wheels more even, the first selection would be better, and is actually wat a few people run on these boards.

why are you running a stagered setup anyway?-chet

what's the advantage/disadvantage to run stagered wheels/tires?

what size of wheels and tires setup should i get if my goal is maximum GRIP cornering? i have a s14 with some suspension mods. (tein flex, whiteline f/r swaybars)

im thinking about this setup: 8" w/225 front and 8.5" w/235 rear

opinions? do i need that wide? or i dun even need stagered setup anyways?

well, if you want maximum grip cornering, you already wasted money on the tein flex coilovers, and the sway bars. also, go buy some Pzero corsca, or advan a032R tires, and run a nice 235-40-17 all around(about 1100 just for the tires).

unless you get massive oversteer, in which case, you may want to run a wider tire in the back. a 10mm difference IMO, wont do much at all to help handling. a stagered setup helps cars with oversteer problems, if you dont have oversteer, dont worry about it.

you'ra talking serious cash to get maximum grip dude, I dont even think most people realise what that is.-chet

wasted money on Tein flex coilovers? How so? They might not be the best out there but should be pretty darn good.

yah that's what im thinking too. i bought the teins and sways for better handling, and they do their job nicely since i installed them.

now i just want a wheels/tires setup that will make my car turn faster. i know the model of tires plays a huge role on this, but the tires+wheels sizes setup is also important...that's what i want to know.

Any input is appereciated

Thanks

well, that diefferet from what yo said before:"my goal is maximum GRIP cornering"

hence, tein flexes are not made for absolute grip(IE, racing) thusly, you wasted your money....any sticky tire will do the job I think you're looking for, and as I said before, theres nor eason to run a stagger setup unless you've got the horsepower, or weight transfer to need it. Plus, most cars with a nice balance, run the same size all around(m3 track days cars, etc)..-chetedit: if I sound curt, its because Im not fond of questions such as this one, check the attention sticky.
