I'm thinking about getting a new set of wheels for my 97 Q45. What diameters and widths fit comfortably without rubbing. Will any 19's fit? What is the widest I can go with an 18 inch wheel? Also, how do I determine whether or not the wheel can handle the weight of the car?

If the wheels you're replacing are the 16" ones, will they be for sell?

Yeah... Do you have the new style piepans.....?

I know that a set of 350z rims will fit, and they look HOT on the car... Chaz98Q45 (sp) has a set, do some searching for him, its GOLDEN...

I dont think anyhting over 18 is necessary on a Q..... 19in tires from tirerack, the cheapest are $178!! OUCH!!!

1)I'd stay with 18's, maybe even 17's. IMHO, 19's are just too much ... weight :D2) Widest - Rim 8 to 8 1/2 inch, tire 225 to 245, would recommend 7 1/2 to 8.3) The rim should have a load rating value on it, usually in kgs. I think the 97 needs either 670 or 690kgs

Any particular style? I'd look for the 5-spoke 17's or some M45/(newer)Q45 18 inch take-offs.

I put a 17x8 on my 97' (those Touring 16" rims are sitting under my house, if you live near the SF Bay area let me know, I'm not shipping them) and I put 245/45 17" Yoko ES100's on the car. This is a good compromise in ride versus performance. The car is not as plush BUT it handles MUCH MUCH better. Overall I think that going over 17" would be overkill, and you can get good deals on 17" rims.

If i find a set of OEMs in 17" for cheap I'll buy them, I got mine from a guy on NICO for only $200 for the set and they look pretty nice.

For 18's you should get between 8 to 8.5" width and make sure to get ones with a 40 mm offset or very close to it. Good tire size would be 245/40/18. Obviously, you will need the right bolt pattern rims, but also make sure that the rim's center bore hole size is correct (66mm), being that the Q needs hubcentric rims. Otherwise you will need a ring adaptor for each rims that fits the particular rim manufacturer. All in all, I think 18 is the best size for the Q.

I just posted some pics of my 97 Q45 riding on Chrome Lexus SC430 rims in the riders photo upload section of NICO - Take a look to if if those are the size you would be happy with. The Lexus rims are 18X8 with a 45mm offset currently on 245/40ZR/18 rubber. Just in case you might want to go out and buy the same set of rims as mine - DON'T! Unless you are well experienced in modifying wheels, DO NOT Buy THEM! These rims will not fit the Q without precesion modification of the center bore, special set of lug nuts, and very thin precision sapcers. Just look at the pics for size reference only.

I really like the style of the 18 inch infiniti wheels from the new q45's. I might have to come to that meet if I don't have to miss any classes for it. I am only 18! I also like the style of the Allesio 19's that I saw on ebay. If i were to get new wheels, I would have to find a buyer for the old ones. I just put a new set of 700 dollar tires on them as well, so I wanna try and get something out of them. If anyone has any suggestion's, hit me up!

I think i will end up going! March 20 is the last saterday of my spring break! Hopefully I can get my bumper fixed buy then. Someone pulled a hit and run and cracked my rear bumper. I'm thinkin about getting a bumper other than the stock one. Anyone have any suggestions for that?

Also, if anyone might be interested, I "might" be selling my 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect Subs w/ custom built boxes for the Q45 trunk sometime soon. This is just a maybe. I wanna see if anyone might be intested in case I feel like selling.

There is a pic of them on this link if you wanna check em out.

Yeah, ive seen them on the Y33 Q....

You *may* need to get some new front tires, as the fronts may be a bit small.
