Wheels Offset and Overfenders *WOO* ( please )

Hey Guys\Gals,

I have an S13 hatch, I will have Tein SS Coilovers around, and Q45 Calipers in the Front. ( and 5 lug around )

Im looking at fitment for 17x8 +25(front) and 17x9 +35(rear) wheels

Im bashing my head in reading all these threads and trying to figure out how these will fit with either stock fenders (rolled if need be) or 20mm overfenders around.

Im not that good at math, so Im seeking somone who is better at it than me.

Heres is what I have been able to figure out on my own ( I think ):

Stock wheels being 15x6 +40 means that:

The front specified above will give 10mm less clearance on the inside and will extend 40mm more towards the fender.

The rear specified will give 33mm less clearance on the inside and will extend 43mm more towards the fender.

What I cannot figure out is if this will clear the coilovers without an issue, and how it will look on stock or 20mm overfenders ( or 30mm rear? )

If anyone can provide some insight or more information on how I can figure this, it would be much appriciated.

Those would be decent sizes for stock fenders. Add 20/30mm overfenders and you'll need wider or lower offset wheels to look flush.

But yeah, the front should fit and I think rears will too.

Youve already done the hard part. Now sit down next to the car and just measure from the lip of the wheel. You'll get an idea of where the new wheels will sit.

First of all, 8/9 stagger sucks. Either run 9s all around or 9/10.

DO NOT run those sizes with wide fenders. Those will fit stock body without even a roll depending on the camber.

And yes, those sizes will clear coilovers.

Hey thanks for the replies guys. 9's all around, hmmm might look into that.

So yeah, overfender idea is scratched, however does anyone know a place ( other than the classifieds on here ) to find some stock sized front fenders?

The ones that came with my S13 are pretty banged up. All the ones I have seen out there available are 20mm over. I would like something other than the stock sheetmetal as I find it quite flimsy, but if thats all there is out there then so be it.
