I am in the process of searching for some wheels, 20 x 8.5 with a +40mm preferably a 50mm offset. Im hoping this offset does not push the wheel further out than the fenders, anyone have any info on this? Reason being, I have the BBK and had to add 1/4" spacers to the front IOT clear the Caliper. By adding to the offset, im hoping I can get rid of the spacers. What are you thoughts? If possible, where can i find these set of wheels?

Thanks upfront

I run a 20x8.5 with a 35 offset and they are flush with the fenders. I ran into a simular problem when I installed g37 sport big brake kit. I ended up having wheels made from savini but any wheel designed to fit the front of a g37 sport or 370z with sport package and the akebono brakes should fit and clear any big brake kit. When looking for wheels, search for wheels for an infiniti g37 with sport package.
What kind of big brake kit are you running?

Thanks bro, im running the AP Racing from stillen 4 Piston Calipers with the 13" rotors. The rears are no issues, it was only the front. Ill look into that and let you know what I can find.

The link below has the wheels i currently have, im deployed and cant confirm this but I think the offset on those is 35. Dont quote me on that, i tried searchin online for the offset but no one has it posted.

The moda 215 wheel is I believe a tire rack brand. They used to be made by bbs for tire rack. If you like the wheel, you may want to try and contact the tirerack and talk to them. I have seen these wheels on some high end cars and they should be able to get you the 215's that will fit your fronts. They will most likely be the same offset, but the front lip on the rim will be smaller than what is on the rears due to the spokes being pushed out to clear the calipers. It will give you the staggered look but still running the same size tires. Thats what I run now, I have an 1.5 in lip in the front, and a 5 in in the rear but running 245 tires front and rear.

Yea i see what you mean bro, but i think I miss wrote something. I already have the wheels, I have had them for four yrs. They in good, if not excellent condition, just dont want to continue using spacers. Ill contact Tire rack and see if i can get a higher offset for the front.

Once again thanks bro

By no means will going to a higher offset increase your caliper/spoke clearance. Higher offsets move the wheel in and depending on spoke design, reduces the caliper clearance.

You actually want to reduce the offset if your goal is to get rid of the spacers. Adding spacers (like you have currently) reduces the effective offset - so if your current rims are 18x8 +35 and you added 10mm spacers, your effective offset would be +25.

Anyways, I personally would stay around +35 to +40 offsets for rims that are 8.5" wide. This *should* give you enough clearance for bbks, assuming the rim's designers do not have their heads up their rears. I would recommend test-fitting using a template if possible. Or like Spawn said, look for rims that fit the g37 or 370z sport packages.

yeah, bori has it backwards. the lower the offset the futher out they are. the g35 19" rays are 8.5 wide and offset is 33, this is a good guideline since they're meant to clear bbk's.

Wow, yea I was all d...ed up, thanks, I was confused about that. My wheels now are 20 x 8.5 with an offset of, I think, 35. Ill look into a possible offset of 33 or 30. Will this cause my wheel to poke out further than the fender? Also, reason want keep same size is bc just purchased 4 brand new Continental DWS and they were a pretty penny, so want keep same size wheels.

Thanks for the knowledge

Are you wanting to get rid of the spacers for the sake of getting rid of them or are they causing clearance issues because you wheels stick out to far past the fenders? A 1/4 in spacer is about 6.35 mm. so that would put you at about a 29 offset. I know you are on coilovers so I am not sure if that is causing you clearance issues. If you plan on new wheels, it will really come down to wheel design. If the spokes are pushed out to the outer side of the wheel, it should be easier to find something that will fit. If you want a wheel with a lip on it then it gets a little more difficult. The AP racing brakes for the altima are pretty compact. There are quite a few people here who have them and on coils who should be able to give you more info. You can go to bigwheels.net, type in g37 sport, 20 in wheel, and about 1200 wheels will come up. All of them will clear your calipers.

Thanks for the numbers and website. Reason is, I just want to get rid of my spacers for several issues. When i need work done, something simple like a rotation and balance of my tires, discount tire wont touch them bc i have spacer. If i have a nail in the tire they wont either. So i have to take all four wheels off and then get someones truck IOT get the work done. Itll just simplify life a little.....in addition to, i have had my wheels for 4+ yrs and they need changing. Obce agin thanks for the offset number.

Hey bro, finally got confirmation on my current wheel offset, its 40. I have 2 x 1/8 spacers and I barely clear the calipers. So what is the lowest offset i need, IOT clear the brakes?

Thanks

it depends on the wheel, not all wheels are the same for brake clearance because of their design. best thing is to ask whoever you're buying them from if they fit. but ideally, i would say go no higher than 35. here's a pic of my 19x8.5 with 33 offset for you

So heres the deal, I have spent the last week searching wheels. I have only found these two I like FOOSE WHEELS SPEED F136 MATTE BLACK MACHINEDhttp://www.performanceplustire.com/prod ... taID/87414 and PETROL WHEELS THROTTLE [GUNMETAL W/MIRROR FACE STAINLESS LIP] http://www.performanceplustire.com/prod ... taID/68229. The Foose have a 35mm offset and the Petrol have a 40mm offset, which wont work for what i need. Where has everyone else found wheels with small offset? Or is it that our options are limited?

Thanks

After weeks of searching I think I have narrowed it down to these two. The offset is killing me in options. Your feedback would help, i know they similar, if not identical. If anyone has any other websites with more options in any offset 33 or 35 ill take it. Well here the wheels: http://www.performanceplustire.com/prod ... taID/87414 and http://www.performanceplustire.com/prod ... taID/87550.

Thanks

Select the year, nissan, altima coupe. in the filter section, select 20in or what ever size you want and what ever finish (black, chrome whatever) if you select all finishes in 20in, 1382 wheels will come up. If you like a wheel but the off set is not what you want or it is chrome and you want black, you can still click on the wheel and it will pull up every wheel they make in that style in every offset they make and color. Next to every wheel, it will tell you if it will fit or not fit your vehicle. You don't have to buy from these guys, but it will give you an idea of what will fit and you can search elsewhere for a better deal. Just remember, just because it is a 35 offset, does not mean that it will clear big brakes. You can contact them and ask. They were very helpfull when I bought my wheels.
