Thats definitely not the case for mine. I've read that several times as well. Mines pretty harsh. Been stuck there ever since I got new rims(I had hubcaps so I couldnt see the rotors before) and I had my rims for well over a month now. I even tried my best to remove it but 60% of it is still on there.08altima35 wrote:when the rotors get wet they immediately rust. he prolly just washed the car and sprayed the wheels in the process. driving the car will remove the rust and make the calipers non-rusty once again. I feel stupid for having to explain this.
I hate the rest on my rotors too. I've thought about painting them black...if i got that boredBrianAC2.5 wrote:thanks for all comments!! I really love the way they look and have been told they look awesome when they are moving. I don't plan on doing anything about the rust on the rotors. It will just keep coming back
Wouldn't these guys solve the problem?D-Roll wrote:

I hope your joking about touching your rotors with sandpaper and a wire brush. That's a great way to destroy your pads and cost yourself a couple hundred bucks.jak0 wrote:I noticed you have a lot of rust around your rotors. Same thing happened to me when I got new rims. Its really hard to take off too (tried wire brush, sand paper, solution).
You must be talking about the calipers, not the rotors. Rotors are the disc. If 60% of your rotor was rust, you wouldn't have the contact required to stop, and you would die, like your friend above.jak0 wrote:
