wheels for 18x7.5 rims?

I have rims that are 18x7.5 with an offset of 42. I was wondering what tire sizes other people are using for their altimas. I was thinking of 225/45/18 or 225/40/18. Which size is more preferable for daily commuting/safety and better treadlife? Or are there better sizes? THanks for your help!

i used 245/45/18 tires cause it was enough meat to fill the wheel wells pretty nicely without needing a drop. also it's a nice and cushie ride
