I tried searching, so please forgive me. I was wondering, what is the widest tire that can be put on a 240 without causing any rubbing. I found a set of staggered 18's that are 18x8.5 up front and 18x9.5 in the rear and was think about running 245/40/18 up front and 285/35/18 in the back. If these tires will rub what kind of offset would i need so that they don't rub.

thanx

ok 285 is a huge tire you going to have to do some massive fender pulling and it the front depening on the offset the tire can rub on the spring... so be careful.

found it, the offset is 35mm for both size rims. I was only thinking about running a 285 tire, i have 2 package options one with 235 and another with 265. any suggestions on which one to go with. Thanx for your help

Vert is basically a coupe, so you will have better luck if you post in wheels and tires forum.

You just want to put widest tires? That's all? I think you should also think about suspension upgrade too. Stiffer springs/shocks or coilovers, syou can have a better stance. Yeah, definitely post this in wheels and tires forum.

I found the info i was looking for. I'm gonna go with 215 up front and 235 in the back for now. I plan on going with an upgraded suspension later, it's a slow project cuz i'm on a really tight budget since the USAF doesn't pay us very much.

Thanx again for the help

Hey, what are your rims and tire specs? Are you running 225/45 17 in the front? You have coilovers(k sport??). Right?

wheels are drifz 506's 18x8.5 up front and 18x9.5 in the rear, both with 35mm offset. I wanted to run 215/40/18 up front and 235/35/18 in the rear, Falken fk451 tires come with the package. Do you think i should go a little wider with the tires? no coilovers, just stock everything except a 5speed transmission swap.

It's kinda hard just tell them to station me over there, I gotta wait for orders to go. I have a few overseas locations listed on my "dream sheet" but it's really unlikely that i'm gonna get to go.
