So I went out on a run this weekend with 20 other rigs from a 4x4ing group that i am part of here in NH its http://www.exploringnh.com and we went wheeling down some class VI roads and all was going good until the last trail where a washout was and a pretty big hill. And since i was running one of the longer wheel bases when i went to go over it stuffed my 33x13.50x15 TSL Super swamper so much into my fender that it popped my fender flare off and disconnected my bumper and peeled it back. So after getting off the trail it took 3 of us to wrestle the bumper back to being close to stock and i used some gorilla glue to put the fender flare back on... Does anyone know where to get any fender flares because all i can find is buchwacker flares that look like stock ones... or can flares from another vehicle be made to fit with some trimming? What about extending the bump stops?

hate to say it, but, "i told you so."

you can't fit 33s without removing the fender flares. it's your fault for believing anything that 01silvapathy says.

IIRC, 01silvapathy's rear tires fit inside his fenders, whereas mud's tires are outside of his fenders. 01silvapathy made a thread (on another board) detailing how to fit 33s, and in it he talks about making sure your tires tuck inside your fenders.

Hey yall, dont know why my previous account has somehow been frozen up and I cant log in as 01silvapathy but I thought I would make another account just to clear up some of the false accusations that are being made by the resident jackass on the board (alexf20c) First off alex you are retarded, you cant even compare this setup to my current setup. Mud. has a sfd installed, his whole suspension in the rear is different than what I said was needed in my write up about how to install 33's on the 2in lift on a r50. This threads title VERY clearly states that his tires are 13.5 wide swampers. My tires and 285-75's are only 11.5 wide. In my thread I also was very clear that you need the correct backspace to run this size tire and to NOT rub and be able to tuck down into the wheel well without rubbing. Swampers usually run larger than the stated size and have giant lugs on the sides that make them even wider. So go on and say that you cant fit 33's on the ac lift using my writeup. I am very clear about how to do it and what you need. Several people on NPORA have followed my write up and had success with it EmptyV being one of them. So keep on trying to contanimate good info and claim that I dont know what im talking about when I very clearly do. Oh and do us all on npora a favor and keep your high school drama out of our stuff, people know you're up to it and you are the root cause so keep it up :dblthumb:

The tires do fit very well as i mildly flexed it out to make sure before i went on the trails.... guess i didn't flex them out enough and didn't take into consideration that when they are spinning some of the lugs rub against the fender flare and would pop it off which i mainly blaim on them being 13.50" wide and having such a extreme offset, they tuck under the body very nicely which i also credit because i bought them half worn..... I am looking to either get wider fender flares that connect on a little stronger than stock ones or maybe a extended bump stop to stop the tire from going so far inside my fender.... Any ideas? Eventually i want to get 11.50s or 12.50s but no larger than a 33 because i want to be able to tuck them. as for my lift i have 2" lift coils on kyb struts with stock replacement strut bearings because the ones that come with the lift are not strong enough along with a 4" SFD so 6" of lift total. In the rear i have custom coils made 5.5" over stock height rated at 180 lbs spring rate and a 1" coil leveling kit along with longer brake lines and a panhard bar drop.

First question, whats the offset of your wheels? Im going to guess its a 3.75 or less bs. In terms of flares, we really dont have many options, but there is one that I was looking into awhile back called flexy flares, a guy on npora had them on his pathy and they looked great! One last question, im going to be running about the same setup as you a 4in sfd with 2in lift coils, except on 35's and new rear springs eventually but how long did you get your rear brake line made? 26inches, thats what I heard Andrew on npora was sending out with his kit. Im needing to know so I can have a line made its the only thing holding me up from installing my SFD. Here is a pic of the pathy with flexy flares and a link too the site. Just a search on google turned up a few places selling the flares.

I think my offset is either 3.50 or 3.25..... Those flexy flares i could make with some garden lining rubber at home depot but im trying to keep it looking classy and not thrown together; i persoanlly do not like the way those look but that is me... Has anyone ever heard of someone taking flares from another vehicle that is close and trimming your fenders to fit? If so what kind of vehicle would fit because I have already trimmed my front bumper and rolled the fender behind my tire in a bit so the fender well is alot wider in the front and i would want to trim the rear and make it wider.... Also what about a longer bump stop? I sm not sure how long the brake line is that he sent me but i think it was 29" i will double check tomorrow.

Thanks for checking the length, been looking for a legit answer now for awhile lol. And I really dont know about flares, you may just wind up having to deal with the flares being knocked off, that or try and take them off and remount them higher up, but that might just look weird. Your last option would be to take them off completely and then just weld in a small patch where the holes in the fender are and then paint it. And I really dont know about bump stops, you could try and make a spacer for your stock one, maybe like a hockey puck perhaps? Just mill it down to the size you need, then drill and hole get a longer bolt and attach it to the stock location? Or another block just welded together to push the bumpstop down? Just what I can think of off the top of my head.
