i have rust in the spare tire well of my 93 hatch (as im sure most of you do as well). The hatch however doesnt leak anywhere, ive sat in the car and poured water everywhere, no leaks, is this leak coming from under the car somewhere? either way, what could i do to remove this rust and keep it from coming back?

cut it out and replace it with a flat piece of metal, remove your gastank and get a fuel cell, gut your interior, and put in kirkey seats and a roll cage. then get a 600 rb motor swap.

hey, you gotta start somewhere.

the key is get rid of all the rust no matter how much metal you have to remove.. if you leave a little its just gonna keep going.

then replace the metal by welding it or use a fibreglass patch and some body filler to get it back to stock looking.

personally i like the welding new metal in idea then undercoating it and painting the new metal to save it.

Good luck, im in ohio so i know all about rust... it truly sucks a fat one.

This thread also needs to be in technical...Oh well... you might need new rubber hatch seal, or the rubber boot that covers your rear windshield wiper base could be cracked down in there...
