hello, i just bought a 1995 Infiniti Q45. The car was wrecked and had been sitting for a year when i bought it, im not sure if the transmission had any fluid in it because the radior was crushed, so i replaced the radiator and put 6 or 7 quarts of ATM Mercon 5 in the transmission and i moved it off the trailer and the next day the car wouldnt move in foward gear but it will grab and go quickly in reverse gear. what do you think could be the problem? please email me at,

It has been answered.

Why do you think no one has answered it in a way that met your expectations?

Ok, If the car wasnt in a accendent, what do u think could have happened?, I remember what you told me when i first posted, but since i dont know enough about these cars i wanted to know if the seals in the transmission could have shrunk from sitting for a year without being run and being low on transmission fluid in it?

Fix other known problems first (like no engine fan or clutch}) then you can proceed to AT diagnositcs and we can determine what has failed, or even if fluid fill is correct. Your porblem might be cavitation, but how can we tell in the car's present state?

Ok, tomorrow im am going to put the fan and new clutch on it, and let it run for a while and see if any thing changes,When i checked the fluid cold, it was like half way up the stick, but i was told that it holds like 10 or 11 quarts. Is this correct?
