Alright i know there are a million posts on this. First off i have a 91 hatch 5spd with 133 ticks on the clock. I have replace ALL the front bushings with energy, torqued down to factory specs. Both balls joints and both sway bar links, tie rod ends, 2 new tires and an alignment. Before the alignment the steering wheel shook like crazy. after it died down quite a bit. Still between 40 and 65 its annoying, and after 80 it shakes like crazy. I had all four tires balanced today and its worse. Shakes like hell from 40 on. I know i need a tailshaft but regardless of being in gear or not it shakes. Struts are orignal from 91. I'm out of ideas and running low on cash. Sorry to write a novel but any imput would be great, and as always, thanks

yeah i think its the struts because i took my car to a good mechanic and i needed new struts and he said that one thing that happens is the steering wheel shakes, so i would get new struts

Two possibilities:- Bent wheel(s).- Excessively worn wheel bearings.

thanks dudes, i'll check all that out and respond back. I would assume that the front wheel bearings aren't a press in deal but the rears would be press in?

Both front and back wheel bearings are press-in.

Thanks man, yeah once i saw a picture of the bearings i knew they were press in. I said F*ck it today and put new tires on the rear aswell. One of them was cupped pretty bad, assuming that i need new struts. Wheel shake has gone down quite a bit but still there, im just going keep on trying stuff, i'll keep this updated
