Here is my goal.... This is going on my Q, and if your not familiar with the Q's suspension, pretend its a Z32 and call it a day.

I want to run 255 fronts and 275 or 285 rear.... 265 fronts would be really nice but I wont be greedy, plus ive already got a set of brand new pirelli's in 255, so gotta use those first!!! Tire sizes are going to be 255/265-40-18F and 275/285-35-18

For reference sake, im current running 245-40-18F and 255-40-18R on Nissan 350Z Track wheels, by Rays engineering.... 18x8F ET30 and 18x8.5R ET33. I like the fit up front with the 245-40-18 on the 8s with ET30.... The rear rubs a little bit and the fenders are rolled....

Im thinking that to run 8.5in fronts i'll want about 35mm offset.. I suppose i could test fit my rear rays and see where I stand.... The fronts arent what im concerned about, its the rears....

Since I already rub with 255-40s in the rear, if I run a 9.5in rear im going to need at least 46mm offset to be where I am now, 50 probably being better... This will put me at an outer position 4mm inward from where I currently am and I'll have 30mm less inner clearance (which a bit more than an inch)... im reasonably sure that I have that to spare on the inner side, 30mm seems like a lot but its not really that much....

so heres my wheel criteria:1. They cant be ridiculously expensive. im not dropping 3large on a set of wheels.... Used is fine!2. They need to be STRONG and fairly lightweight, like to keep them in the 20lb neighborhood... I expect the rears to be heavier... 3. I like spoked designs, 5 or 6 spokes are nice. They need to look kinda meaty because the Q is a big car.4. Lip is optional5. Chrome=no6. I dont want to use spacers but if I have to use a small one (say in the 10mm-ish range) thats fine..7. Clear Z brakes (shouldnt be an issue)..8. I WILL NOT CAMBER FIT WHEELS.. im running -1.0F and -1.5R camber and thats how its going to stay... I take pride in my alignment.

SO, does anyone have any suggestions..? I really suck at finding good wheels at reasonable prices as I was busting a nut to get these 350Z wheels and thats all I cared about!

265s on 8.5s is not gonna fly. Yes they will fit, but that doesn't mean that it won't suck.

You are probably gonna shoot this down, but FN01RC's are your best bet I think.

18x9.5 all around with your choice of +12, +22, +35 and +43.

9.5s will fit the size tires you want far better, and no, the tires won't be stretched.

For the rear: The 9.5+43's will only protrude an additional 2mm compared to your current setup.

For the front: Since I'm not sure what kind of strut clearance you are dealing with, it would be hard to tell what offset you should go with.

Obviously, you will have fender clearance issues up front. RUN MORE CAMBER. I'm not telling you to camber fit, I'm telling you that -1 is like stock and it sucks. You can run -2 or more with good toe settings and your car will handle far better, and won't cause bad tire wear. This will help you to fit the 265s.

If 9.5 sounds too extreme for the front, there is also an 18x8.5, but you shouldn't run 265s on them.

As far as weight, you can't even find an 18x8.5 that is 20 pounds unless you go with a forged wheel, but the FNs are gonna get you the closest to that number.

Edit: The 5Zigen ProRacer GN+ is also another choice. They come in 8.5 and 9.5 as well, and in the same offsets.

spl has both of these.

If none of this sounds good, I will say the following:

1.) Definately consider 9 front and 9.5 rear as minimum widths2.) Run more front camber. It will help with grip and allow wider wheels and tires to fit.3.) Find out how much inside clearance you have front and rear.4.) Consider pulling your fenders. It's not really noticeable if done correctly and allows at least 15mm more clearance.

heres the thing..

There is a reason im running the camber I am. The Q compared to most other vehicles has an insane amount of camber gain... So if I ran like -2 or -3 static im not getting an ideal contact patch. reason is because the Qs camber gain was designed for flexy granny 15" tires.... Different idea than a 240! Still even if I went to -2 i dont really see that making or breaking a fit, as thats only going to mean a very small distance from the fender...

I suppose I could deal with an extra 2mm and roll a little more and I dont mind cambering the rears as much as I do the front... I really could use more arse-end grip though...

Theres no POSSIBLE way im fitting 9.5s in the front.. THere simply isnt enough room. My old setup was 8.5s with 37mm offset and there wasnt a whole lot of room either way (would hit 3rd link under full lock turns).. No more than 5mm out toward the fender, ubt at that time I was running a lot more camber.

I ran 265s on a 8.5 and it wasnt bad, I kinda like the tires to be a little meaty... Still I agree, a 255 is going to be a better fit and Im likely to stay with that anyway.

I looked at the pro-racers and those do look nice, i dig em and theyre reasonably priced as well... for just under a grand and those wheels seem pretty good...

I like the fact that I can get a 8.5 +33 and a 9.5 +43 for a really stellar fit... I think that my rears wouldnt rub so bad if my fenders were rolled better, whos got a roller??

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it....... I think ive decided on my offsets so I can take that and run

Cast OZ Racing Ultraleggera 18x9 +35mm is a touch over 20lbs.

Forged BBS RG-R 18x9 +42mm is 18.8lb.
