Forgive me, but I am new to this site and havent really had the time to read all the posts. I just bought a 08' Altima Coupe 3.5SE and I plan on doing alot of work to this car. I have always had a truck and I have recently sold it for this much better car. But I have a few questions on upgradeing my rims.

First, is there a major difference between the ride on 19" or 20". I would assume the 19's would have a much smoother ride, but 20's just look better. For those of you riding 20's on your Altima, is the ride really that bad and is worth going with 20's.

Second, how wide can/should I go, without the tires sticking out or rubbing.

Third, what size/model tires should I go with. I live in So cal, so we dont get alot of rain, and I would like to be cost efficent on the tires because i am going to be spending a big hunk of change on the rims.

Any advice you can give me would be much appreciated, thanks.

well if you need more help... im on 20s... 245/35/20 with a 38 offset... eibach dropped, stillen rsb.

To tell you the truth, i love the ride... but its not for everyone... the roads here in ny are lacklustre at best, and its not that i chip and ding the 20s.. but the ride is significantly changed...

Something interesting i dont think ive mentioned on the forums before is that with the 20x8.5s bolted on... the control and movement of the steering wheel has improved... if theres a slight imperfection in the road, the wheel doesnt pull nearly as much (this ismy first fwd car).

help is here if you need it

A friend of mine has a coupe on 20's wrapped with 225/35's with the stock suspension and the ride isn't too bad, but you can feel the bumps a lot more in his car. The ride is just something that would take a little bit of getting used to... Also, I wouldn't skimp and wrap expensive wheels in cheap tires; especially if you plan on going to shows with your car.

http://mynismo.com/categories/?id=2327 alot of nice quality rims that doesnt look crazy. personally volk, work, JLine, and advan are my favorites. I think 19's would fit perfect on the coupe. going big doesnt necessary mean going better
