so 2 of my studs sheared off while i was testing out my car, i took everything off, and popped out the remaining studs, but they could spin in the hub..should the holes the studs press into have grooves that lock in with the groves on the studs, or are they supposed to be smooth, i've never really looked before, but mine are smooth.

basically i think i need a whole new hub...fan-damn-tastic

No, it's not supposed to be smooth.

Just get a hammer and a screwdriver and beat that ish off. That's what I did. Just buy new ones, they are cheap.

Ok i hate to bump up a old post but i have the same issue. The inside of my hub where the stud is suppose to go is smooth. So when i put the stud in the hub, it does not lock and just turns. Is there any way i can get a oversized stud that will lock it in place. If not i suppose i can take off the hub and have it pressed.

same thing happened to me, I tack welded mine in place. However you can try other alternatives jb weld or something, but tack weldings definitely the best solution...

JB Weld is not strong enough.
