So I've always had a wheel stud that was just missing...I've tried to replace it but the replacement wheel studs I can find just kind of sit in the "hole" and the knurls never actually grab the hub. I'm coming to the conclusion I need a new hub but first wanted to see if anyone else knows if the local automotive parts store studs are not the right size or anything of that sort ya know? I can't how the opening for the stud would get that much bigger from removing it or something.

Thanks

If it's on one if the front hubs easy fix just pull it off and get it welded on but if it breaks again then you have to replace.

That's what I was thinking of doing. Just wondered if anyone every ran into the problem I'm having where the new wheel studs won't "lock" into the hub.

just take a caliper and measure the size of the hole in the hub and go to ur local napa and tell them to get out the book and tell them what size the knurl needs to be how long of a stud and what thread size is and they can find one for u ( if u post all that info here i could go to work tomorrow and find a part number for u) otherwise any napa can do it

I think what I found is that the auto parts stores have the wrong size kneel listed for the 240.
