So I've been looking around for wheels lately and have discovered that I a complete and utter imbicile, at least thats what my "friends" tell me. Becuase I dont what any of the specs mean for the wheels and tires. for example im looking to buy a set of enkeis' 18" wheels and its sez "225/40/18" I know what the 18 is but im clueless on the rest. If any off you guys could fill me on this information i'd appreciate it. Please be a detailed as possible and dont make fun of me. Also what is the max size and width you can put on a 95 se with out it rubbing or causeing any problems. Oh and another thing does anyone know the specs (weight)on the stock 16" 95' se model wheels. Tnx for you help and if you didnt help me well then, I dont know enough NICO members so I'll let of this time

the tires are 225 millimeters wide, and the sidewall height is 40% of 225 mm. that is pretty low profile by any standards and is asking for a bent wheel. those should fit, but in my opinion 17s are good for S14's something like 225/45/17. hope this helps

What he means by "front wheel offset" is that the wheels would sink too deep and your wheels and fender will not line up good... makes your car look ugly.

"RWD offset" is typically anywhere from 20s and on. Also, offset plays a role in determining whether you will be able to clear coilovers or not

If you go to the Wheels, Tires, Brakes &Susp section of this forum you will learn ALOT more.

not really, i just put my new 350z 18x8s on. they have a 30mm offset all around and in the rear they are touching the inside of the fenders. i need to either raise my car in the rear or roll my quarters to make them fit right. i can't tell on the fronts yet cause the cars motor isn't in yet and i also have 30mm carbon fiber S15 front fenders.
