i was thinking about maybe buying some wheel spacers for the front wheels to bring it out alittle for my 06 Z and i have some quick questions...

will it mess up my handling? ( i do alot of canyon runs)

will it mess up my ride? ( i love how my car ride feels)

i heard that you can lose the feelin of the front wheels if you bring the front wheels too much.......is that true????

and if i do go with the wheel spacers......which are the best ones out there???? i gotta have the best when it comes to handling lol

thanks

you want to space the stock wheels? or you want wheels with the wrong offset and want to make them fit?

assuming you want to space the stock wheels, this increases the scrub radius, which makes turning more difficult and makes the car more twitchey, obviously, the more the spacer the worse it is, at driving speeds the extra turnign effort isn't really noticible, parking you will notice it, and the twitchiness is something that will become more apparent with speed

Well you already seem to have made problems. a 7.5" wheel. With a poor offset would reduce the scrub radius. You might want to get it back close to normal with a spacer.

u went a whole inch less wide y. spacers will also create a week spot in your handling.

They are Rays forged aluminum. They are extremely rare. They only made them from 03-04.

Anyone else have pics?

The ones above with the Rays wheels look amazing...

The gaps between my stock 08 wheels and the edge of the fender drive me crazy--especially on the back.

Great pic...that looks a lot better. So u are running 25/30 mm on 245/265 width tires?

I am familiar with what works on the Stangs but not so much on the Z...any advice appreciated!

Just my 2 cents worth....IMHO I would never use spacers...they are dangerous!

Save your money & buy rims with the correct offsets....in fact a lot or rim manufacturers will not guarantee there rims if spacers are used.

If you ever plan on changing to 19's (which I love)...here's my offset recommendation.Front: +15 to +20Rear: +20 to +25

I ended up getting custom made offsets when I bought my iforged wheels.

If done incorrectly it's just as dangerous as not bolting your wheel properly to you car! lol

I run 18x10s with 285s on my Mustang in the summer. I got so addicted to that nice flush look I put 25mm spacers on my winter set (17s with 245s). 40k+ of winter driving and no issues with my eibach spacers

So now the poor Z is in the crosshairs--it needs something to fill out those fenders! If I do go ahead I will probably do 25-30 mm on the rears only.

BTW beautiful rims sluggoZ!
