I'm ordering new tires within the next couple days and I decided to go with Nexen N3000's because they are cheap and i heard great reviews about them. I am running 225/45/17 Azenis's all around right now but they are too tall. So im going to go with 215/40/17 this time around. This way i can be lower, and not have my fronts rub like crazy. With my new tires i can finally buy some spacers. For now im just going to buy them for the back and see how much camber i can take out in the front. I can't decide what size to go with though. 30mm will place the rims just flush with the fender. so even if i hit a huge bump i would be fine. While I found 1.5" ones for sale which will put the rims out further than the fender. But even still under full (compression?) they never go up above in the fender. I had my dad jump in the trunk testing it. So they shouldnt hit i believe. Whatd do you guys think. i measured the distance between the top of the rim and the fender and its 1 3/4"

im thinking about trying to make some spacers myself just to see what size i should use. like cutting some wood 1 1/2" thick and drilling four wholes. then put the wheel on and see where it sits. obviously just lowering it with the jack enough to see how fits

rota p45r..probably a 17x9 +12. if you'd gotten the 17x9.5+15, you wouldn't be having this problem..they fit perfect..but that's with a stock body..you have over fenders don't you?

15mm and less camber looks like it will do the trick. Or maybe some more tire.

I personally would do more tire and smaller spacers. I think rolling around with rubber bands is pretty much useless.

Thats what I was thinking, but I'm at work and can't see any pics cuz the server blocks 'em. Folkerts, if you go with 30mm spacers, that'll effectively make you 17x9-18. Seems really excessive to me.

Here's the closest I could find on Rimtuck. Your fronts would poke out 5mm more than this:

Rears would poke out 3mm more than this:

If you're going for the "Zilvia fitment whore/I wanna be on Hellaflush.com" look, go for it, I guess... :gotme

I think those are 50 mm spacers in the back of d*star's car. i.e. 17x9 -15 effectively

yeah they're 17x9+12 if you want to be in that thread..i mean idk how much shooting to be in a thread should effect your decision, you should grab some 40mm spacers/make them..however and camber/toe the wheels to fit. keep the 225s..they have a decent stretch..no need for rubber band tires

however, personally, i'd suggest grabbing a pair of 17x9.5 +15 and grabbing 30mm spacers. it'll be almost the same and require a little less camber and thinner spacers.

I vote pick a wheel with that will fit the tire and car the way you want instead of running some aluminum spacers..... Spacers just scare me a bit. Ever see the videos where they crack and or the lugs pull out?

well i made a cardboard thing to show me where my rim would sit. tires are going to be stretched enough so they wont hit the fender. only thing im worried about is the rim hitting. what do you think?

last pic is crappy but the rims extend half an inch out at the top
