summer rims are 18x8, +38. Tires are 225/45/18. Wanted to put on some 15mm Ichiba Ver 2 spacers but not sure if I will run into any issues with a +23 offset.

Also, what issues will come up when I eventually buy coilovers? Am I better off just leaving the +38 alone?

Thanks

This one's simple. Measure the available space between the tire and fender lip (you may want to load 4 people in the car to simulate a fully-loaded condition). If you've got 15mm of clearance, go for it. :)

^ yuuuuuuuuuuuuup.
you should be fine though i think. i 'm pretty sure alex m. was running a 9.5 +27 and was flush. by my calculations, the fact that youre running an inch and a half less width should give you an extra 19mm to play around with, not accounting for camber.
