i am buying a 300zx this saturday!!!!!!!!!!! the two i am looking at are in the thread soon to be 300zx owner i started. but this is how wheel sizes affect the performance of a car, mainly the z32. one of the z's im looking at has the stock wheels and stock tires one it. the other one has 235/45ZR17 in the front and 275/40XZR17 in the rear. yes i know, those are pretty damn wide tires. but i was wondering what effects that size increase on performance. thanks.

lower profile tires usually have stiffer sidewalls the make the tire corner better. The wider it is the larger the contact patch, which is always a good thing. The biggest affect on grip, however, is the rubber compound. A ****ty tire will have ****ty grip no matter how wide it is, tirerack is a good place to read reveiws for tires.

the one with the aftermarket wheels and tires and mufflers is 6800 (but im going to try to bring him down). the other one is all stock and is 5950. but the 5950 one doesnt specifiy that it has its timing belt done and they are both at 120k. i dont know which one i want, but it all will be decided in one short (hopefully short) day.

i heard that bigger tires and wheels will slow the car down speed wise, but how big will they start doing that?

Sorry to make you frown........ But I have a neighbor who has a 300z TT sitting up. She doesnt want it anymore....... Im getting it for a cool $6k - $7k. Dont recall the mileage, but I will take pics this weekend and show yas..........

All stock. Needs an alt, maybe a starter, but thats about it from her word. Its been sitting up for about a year........

Exterior, not a scratch......... The roofs dont leak. The interior, black leather, above average condition...........

I cant wait........... Im gonna see if I cant get her to commit to the $6k price tag.........

She is about 15 years my elder making her about 45.......... maybe later........ But she thinks Im a good man, and is willing to give ME a deal........... LOL

Might give her my 240 in lieu of some of the $$$ as she has a daughter about to drive soon, and doesnt want her to have the 300 TT (too powerful) or her Xterra (roll over rate).

I told her we could work something.......... LOL
