I am assuming that the stock wheels on the 03 I35 are 17's (I forgot to look) but just curious if a set of 18x8's fit without rubbing anywhere. Found a set of G35 replica wheels on ebay for $495. Considering purchasing a set once I have the car as the stock wheels just don't seem to do it for me.

Wow, this is a pretty slow forum. I am thinking that there may not be alot of knowledge on the cross over of parts between the maxima and the I35 for 03's. I might have to be a guinea pig again.

They should fit, you'll probably need a 45 offset.

Basically this is what I am looking at. I sent the seller a question asking for the offset though they list them as fitting the car in question.

Wow, this is not that slow of a forum... it's just 8 am, that's all.

There is a lot of information and knowledge here. Feel free to look around (searching is free) and ask any questions you may have. We're here to help in any way we can.

I wish I could help you more, right now, but I'm stuck at work, and my time to spend at NICO is extremely limited and monitored. (IT guys are always spying)

You need to find out the offset. 18x8 is no issue at all. IMO, the best fit for the max is a 40mm offset front and 25-30mm in back. You do this by getting a set of 40mm rims and adding 10-15mm spacers in the back. 30mm fronts simply cause the tires to stick way too far out.

Factory rims are 17x7x45mm offset.

while I may be new to this board I am not new to car forms in general and am not afraid to use the search option. I did try already but did not find the info I was looking for. None the less, I understand about the time thing. I get up way too early in the morning! Stupid Army is to blame for brain washing me. I am never late though!

Thanks for the wheel sizing. I am all about going bigger if the car can handle it. But lets not put the cart before the horse here. I need to get the car.

I am looking at a few different ones right now but one dealership seems to have 3 of them and they are all priced pretty close together. I am going to see if I can get the color I want (silver) at the price of the lower one. The silver one is $1500 more and the mileage is only 2k less. So I am thinking that if I go in there and offer him somewhere in the middle they they may just go for it. If not then the cheapest one is a beigey golden color and I just don't think it will look as good with the wheels I am looking to stick on it and I don't want chrome!
