Hey everyone I am looking to change out my 20" sport rims for a different set of 20's. What is the widest rim and tire size I can use to make the wheel fit better in the wheel well? I've heard of some people using a 275 in the rear and a 245/40/20 on the front which I am already running all around. I am going for a wider more sportier stance so probably will be a staggered setup. Just for the record I don't want to put 22's on it. Anyone that knows the best setup to use please share your thoughts. Thanks.

You can try looking through this thread to see if anyone has a look you want to replicate as far as fitment goes:

not many wheel gurus around here... I've been doing numbers for months trying to figure this out myself. Here's a thread that might help visualize what specs can be fitted. There are more AWD folks then RWD so that makes it a bit more challenging as well.

A very good website to work out specs on is: http://www.willtheyfit.com/

Thanks guys! THis one is close to what I am looking for http://s1271.photobucket.com/user/Spool ... 6.jpg.html

I would probably do a lil smaller tire in the rear as that rear tire looks like it sticks out a little too far. Can't really tell because the picture is dark on my screen.

Here are the Dimensions:
20x9.5 +40 Front 20x12 +45 Rear
Tire Brand/Model: Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT
Tire Dimensions: 275/35 20 Front 325/30 20 Rear

Only issue is this is AWD and I am RWD. That 325 is too big probably will try something smaller like a 285 or 295 if that will fit.

I have 275/40R20s on the back of my car on the stock wheels. Clear just fine but the speedo is off. Having the staggered tire sizes I can say the car does handle a little weird with them.

How far off is the speedo? Does it grip better with the 275's on the back? When you say handle weird can you explain what it feels like?

shiould run 275/35/20 in the rear not 40 series. I use that size and have no issues with the speedo and handling seems to be fine. With the wider tire and 40 series the section is too tall which is why it's slightly off.

That's not bad at all and probably will help the 0-60 with the 275/35/20. I mean maybe not so but hey a guy can wish :rotflmao.

I am trying to go wider aswell but will it help for curb bumps because the 245 40 20 leave the rim sticking out causing easy curb rashes i have gone to my rim shop like three times to get the wheels redone each time 120 a wheel. Im just wondering if you go wider will it solve or help less curve bumps. I have a 2011 m37s btw.
