I have a '96 240sx SE with the 5 lug. What is the best width and offset to go with for an 18" diameter wheel in a staggered setup WITHOUT having to roll or pull fenders?

I want to get the widest lip on the wheels as possible.

Thanks.

PS- I have searched

Thanks for the quick and informative reply. That helps a lot.

So what size tire do you recommend for front and rear on that size wheel?

The car is lowered pretty aggresively, but I don't know how many inches exactly.

Thanks again.

oops. My mistake. I'm just used to reading and asking my newb questions in there because most of them are related to the swap. My appologies.

Thanks.

You want the most lip possible but you don't want to roll your fenders?

BRB, I'm gonna go make a post about how I want to make 400whp but on the stock airbox.

Just roll your fenders, it takes like an hour with a jackhandle, a hammer and some newspaper.

Furthermore, how much lip your gonna get is completely dependant on the alignment and tire size you want to run.

Most people can do 9 +0 and 10 +0 no problem.

its possible to have 4-6" of lip but with the amount of camber and i'm guessing stock aero and probably weakkk ride height it'll look disgusting.

with nice aero slammed and fair camber it looks pretty tough

How about if you upgrade into a 300ZX or R32 Calipers? This will affect the offset, and you might ended up using spacer's and ruined your offset...What is the best offset to get this big brakes fit. I only know so far is 16" wheel is the minimun clearance for this big brake, but I dont know about the offset?

I recently purchased some ADR Sokudo 10's, they have a +40mm offset. I did a quick test fit on my S14 and it hits the NISSAN lettering on the caliper. I mean the spoke of the rim is pushing on the lettering. I've heard some people sand that part off, but I think it looks cool polished w/ red calipers. So I'm just gonna space the tires out a little bit. By the way, they are 17x7's.

Brake clearance is all about spoke design, but really low offsets have a better chance of clearing.

So since "2s4k0y09" Have +40mm offset and he still get a slightly touch on the 300zx calipers, so that mean I have to go for +35mm offset, or +45mm offset?

It means you need to find wheels with a good spoke design. You can't go by numbers. It's all about spoke design.
