I'm new to the forums and have been searching everywhere for info/advice on wheels sizes and offsets. I have a stock 1995 300zx twin turbo and am looking at getting an 18" staggered wheel setup. I'm currently looking at the MRR GT1 and the TSW Snetterton as options. It seems that 8.5 front and 9.5 rear are a common staggered size, but I can't seem to get a good read on offsets. I'm OK with the look of the stock rear fit but the fronts need to come out a bit. Does anyone has some experience and recommendations for offsets that will provide a nice flush'ish fit without clearance issues on a stock suspension setup? These are examples of the MRR GT1s with some sizing that looks good...

Thanks, I've seen this info and have been playing with the wheel calculator. I'm really hoping to hear from someone that's used either the MRR or TSW wheels on their Z (preferably TT) and can tell me the offsets used and if there are any front calliper or rear HICAS clearance problems.

Wheel manufacturer doesn't make a difference. It's all about the offset! Stock Z32 wheels are +45. If you put a level to your fender (plumb) and measure the outside of the wheel to the inner edge of the leve you will fet the difference in inches. +35 offset wheels would fit perfectly and even a +30 offset would work if you're running stretched tires. ie 9.5 rim with a 255 tire. IMO, I'd go with a +35 and run a 255 tire on the back...

8.5 at + 20 up front

9.5 at +35 out back

245/275 for tires.

Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day

Teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.

I just gave you the answer (free fish) which could be found after about 2 minutes of homework on here and other sites. But I'm in a good mood this morning :)

Hi, I'm also new to the forum. I have powertrix coilovers and will be getting wheels and tires installed soon. I want to get SSR GTV01 wheels which only have offsets in 22, 30, 40, and 48. I wanted to run a 18x8.5 with 245/35 setup but I don't know what offset to get. Ideally, from what I've read on here, a 35 offset would be good but the wheels I want don't have that offset. I'm assuming it'll either be 22 or 30? Also, I think it's worth mentioning, I don't want to have to modify the fenders at all and I don't want rubbing. Is my setup going to work or do I need to change some numbers?

I am running a 18x9.5 +15 all around and completely slammed with a 235/40/18 and all I did was roll my fenders and I do not rub at all. Obviously I am running camber but that's only because I'm super low. I'm sure if I wasn't as low I could run much less camber. Rolling the fenders really isn't as bad as people think if done right.
