Alright so 2 weeks ago I rotated my own tires because the dealership didn't do it, while I was at it I took off my hubcaps cause they looks so ugly. Now it just rained a few days ago and when I looked at my car yesterday, where the center cap would go on a rim, of 4 wheels are rusted.

Now is this something that I should just push to the side and kinda forget or should I be looking into the market for some new rims? I'll post some pictures tomorrow...nah I'll get the pictures up around after lunch (1:30pm pst I'll have them up.)

The wheels on the S are steel and steel rusts. Surface rust is actually a protective coat that protects the underlying steel. It's only when rust is left unchecked that it can become a problem. It usually takes a considerable amount of time for rust to become an issue. Road salt is used heavily in our area so rust is a fact of life. It's best to pay attention to rust but don't think it's very presence is bad. Now if it's on the body of the vehicle, that's bad. All untreated Honda's through 2002 in this area are rusted and all in the same areas. I'm going to have an annual application of "Rust Check" so the Versa doesn't end up looking like my 94 Accord.

This is common. If it were me, I would repaint the rims (clean and degrease them thoroughly first). For paint, I would use black (or any color you want) DupliColor ceramic engine paint. That stuff is remarkably durable, and won't ever burn off.

BBishop is right... and you need not be in any hurry to do it, it will take a LONG time (think decades) for the steel on the rims to rust to the point where it would compromise integrity.. unless you help the process along by repeatedly curbing the wheels, hitting large mammals, etc.
